I'm on a roll with these United figures, I guess, because so far I've experienced non of the paint QC issues others have reported. Wreck-Gar here looks great - no chips, no scratches, etc. Just a very clean paint job, to my relief.

I'm not sure how I feel about the color choices for his face. I almost prefer the RTS figure in that regard, but from the neck down he's fantastic.

I should also note that the shoulders on mine are stress mark-free. I haven't tried placing his weapon in his hand yet, and I may not just in case his hands suffer from the same problem as the RTS figure.

Awesome pics! Agreed on the head too, if the RTS version looked too human(and it does:D ), this one is a zombie.

Great pixs & text review bro! :thumbs2:

In fact I like him so much that, I'm gonna get the RTS Wreck Gar as well. the difference between the two versions makes it worthwhile to have 'em both. both molds are unique in their own way.

The RTS one will be in bike mode for my United Wreck Gar to ride in style! LMAO

I'm usually satisfied with the Hasbro versions of a given figure, but I pre-ordered this guy just because I want to have more color-variant Junkions. His shiny paint will make him the odd man out on my shelf, but I like the way he looks. Now I'm just not sure if he'll be the bike or the rider...

    Thanks, guys! :)

I decided to pose the United figure riding the RTS on my shelf. I love it. Can't wait for the e-hobby Junkion to add to the troops!

Dammit, he's gorgeous. May have to cave, especially since I haven't had any luck getting RtS WG, anyway.

Thanks for the great pics, canonball!

Might be just the photos, but the United toy's colors just turn me off. Looks like he's wearing a baby bonnet.

I can assure you it's just the photos, I was almost gonna cancel my pre-order for it, thought budget-wise it was better to go RTS with it....

Both United & RTS Wreck-Gar really complement one another.

In my fanon, RTS Wreck-gar will be himself and United will be this guy

You might suffer a bit of paint scraping if you use him as the rider (his codpiece is painted, and the clips for the saddle are quite tight). It's not too noticeable though, as the plastic underneath doesn't stand out too much.

The United version also suffers from the hand stress mark problem, which is a shame.

I hope this problem is corrected before the eHobby Scrapheap comes out.

It probably won't be and is just a design flaw the same way G2 Prime's hands are made too small. But I've yet to hear of anyone's Wreck-Gar hands actually breaking, so it probably isn't going to be a major problem in the long term.

What we need to find out about it whether the handlebar hinges still crack on the United and eHobby uses of the mold.

Maybe MAIDEN can come up with fixes for both of these problems? He could do new fists and anyone who does work through Shapeways make new hinges? Hmm...

The hinges can't be replaced. They're part of a big, solid piece that would either be prohibitively difficult or outright impossible to remove from the figure. Swapping the hands would be a problem too. The forearms fully enclose the wrists, and the forearms are held together by both a screw and the rivet through the elbow.

I didn't think to look at mine before I made the suggestions, just thinking out loud I guess.

the stress marks would be on the inside of the hand, not the out
