Grimmaster is Kakuryu from Victory BTW.

    http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Grimmaster

He supposedly left the Decepticons and became a Dinobot.

Just thought I'd share because I didn't see it reported on TFW.

I think Grimmaster as Kakuryu was called earlier; good thing to see it's confirmed with his release.

Roadmaster as Detritus is totally out of left-field, however; he hasn't been seen in ANYTHING, IIRC, except his own bios.

EDIT: One thing though; last we saw him, Clouder was DoubleClouder, and had joined the Decepticons after separating from his human pilot. I wouldn't be too quick to trust him just yet. (Unless of course they're referring to the human Clouder and not the animated Transtector).

They are. He's a major in the Department of Defense, expanding upon some vague hints about his occupation in the Masterforce cartoon.

KAKURYU! Fantastic, shame the Powercore combiners never had this much depth to their bios. Also a shame that the Dinobot and Constructicon set were really the only decent ones.

While I was already a fan of this toy, him becoming a reformed Kakaryu is absolutely amazing to me. My absolute love of the Dinoforce makes this guy a firm favourite of mine now, possibly forever. Seeing as its the only one I'll ever own in toy form, I suppose he's a keeper!

Oooh, that's a HUMAN DoD? I thought it was part of the Autobot government or something. My memories of the particulars of Masterforce are vague at best :/

  12. Detritus was a bit of a suprise. Who is left to be identify?

The Build, Assault, Tank, and Marine Masters are all that's left (no others have been announced).

What of Dozer Master and whomever he comes with, or did I miss that one?

Plus I guess technically there's the "High Regent" to clear up if we get into non-toy fiction. My gut tells me with a name like that he'll be someone (or something) new.

They've been released but the story hasn't been translated yet (but will be soon).

That's Scrash, the unseen Decepticon commander from "Operation Combination". The UEX story is taking place at the same time as Op Com.

    Deitrius and Kakuryu. Neat choices.

Why didn't they just call them that instead of ______master.

Awesome, I'll look forward to seeing that one when it's translated :)

Yeah, I figured it might well be him given the timeline placement - just something didn't click with me given the story is more or less keeping a character with no known identity in the shadows.

All the story stuff like the character's former identities was created after the fact - Takara came up with the new decos and the new names and handed them over to Andrew Hall, who created the story and the true identities for the characters.

You can see Scrash in the illustration for part 3, lookin' like Skyquake.

No number of revealed "secret legacy identities" of these characters will ever convince me to buy another PCC, but I will say this... Grim Master ALMOST would have gotten me if it had been in original Dinoking colors. Ah well.

Also, it's a little obnoxious to use Detritus in this capacity before releasing him as a Classics Hound repaint. Hmph.

Woke up on the wrong side of the collection this morning, I guess. :)
