Cool, wasn't really paying attention when I got mine in but I guess I followed he general consensus on afterburner also swapped out lightspeed.

Ah yes, and now I sit here and cry because I didn't get this figure and it's very expensive now. T_T

I usually stick with Hasbro releases because they are more economical than trying to import and I could buy around 2 Hasbro figures for the price of a single Takara import. 99% of my CW combiners are Hasbro's but I decided to pay the extra for UW Computron and he was so worth the extra money. The fact that Nosecone is a Rook remold over that Brawl mold is worth the price of admission alone but I do like the extra remolding that Scattorshot's torso mode had to make him look more like his own bot instead of just a different colored Superion. My only little nitpick is I wish he had the hands and feet Hasbro's Computron came with, but overall, definitely a centerpiece in my collection which is ironic because I was not a huge Technobots fan to begin with. :)

Computron is one of my favorite combiners from Unite Warriors. I have the Perfect effect limbs (and sold the ones that came in the set), no need to worry about the HFG's, and the colors match perfectly. Bring on the Terrorcons/Abominus!

Wasn't even a choice for me...

    Scrounge... *who*...?? >_>
(yes, I know, comic, blah blah)

The CW feet look ok, but those perma-fists have no articulation & say what you will about the HFG's, but they at least store well in alt & robot modes. I think they do the job fine. Plus the KO PE Computron hands & feet are only like $10 ~ ~ $12 anyway. The UW molds are literally superior in every way

Yeah, pretty much the same here. I wanted the Hasbro hands/feet, Scrounge, and Afterburner. Was able to sell off everything else from the CW set and essentially got those Hasbro pieces for free, after selling UW Afterburner.

I had hoped I would have been able to find loose hasbro hands and feet on eBay but I have not. I need one foot and hand to have another complete set and can't find them w/o buying limbs too.

As a robot, Nosecone had a huge amount of play value for a CW/UW limb. Being able to plug his drill into his hand to use as a drill arm, being able to use the HFGs as "hulk hands", being able to plug his big rifle into the port where the drill would go in vehicle mode to make him into an artillery unit, being able to use the smaller weapons as either shoulder mounted RPGs or in his hands as tonfas, being able to plug his HFG into the side of his leg to use yet more weaponry, etc. If you're a Decepticon, you sure as hell don't want to meet this guy in a dark alley, I'll say that.

Another thing I loved about the set is that Scattershot can, with some finagling, assume his third, "cannon mode", as seen here. (https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1489/24787473372_124fe665d2_b.jpg)

For a team that prides itself on brainpower, the Technobots are certainly packing an unusual amount of heat.

You can never have enough Computrons, lol.

I've only really been able to find sellers of the hands and feet on eBay, though admittedly, their prices can be rather steep.

Fear not, I found a cheap mint Scattershot and sold mine to somebody who was able to fix him. And all was right with the Universe.

That's great news. Did this guy or gal share how they were able to fix your former bot?

How do the joints feel on your new Scattershot?

Which ones are you asking about? I bought a set of the Hasbro Computron Hands/feet on ebay and they're a really wonderful upgrade, IMO.

They swapped out the pin in the shoulder for a small screw. My new one has been fine so far - the flaw doesn't seem widespread thankfully.
