What did you mix and match? Hard to tell with the PE chest hiding it all

My own idea of a mix-and-match Computron.

Pretty much what I'm planning on. Have the CW version and have paid but need to ship UW version.

Hands and feet seem to color match fine, did you do any painting or are they just the same color?

No painting on mine. Was actually impressed that the hands and feet seemed so compatible with the UW stuff (as to Afterburner... just a personal preference. The reddish UW version just didn't look right to me).

I took the bot head, mushroom pegged part of the arms, combiner head, and alt nose cone from the UW Scattershot and put them all on CW Scattershot. All so that the PE upgrade could fit on Scattershot appropriately, not forced on like some have done on the UW Scattershot

Yes my Silverbolt did and I hairdriered it. It worked well. Any one had a hip wobble with theirs like on Superion. I broke my original Silverbolt trying to do the nonnef fix. A bit worried to try with my replacement Silverbolt and uw Scattershot

I kind of like the Pe darker almost brown hands and feet parts of the Uw version of comps are a very close match so for me works very well. I know some have been going for the Ko version which looks a tad more crimson in comparison. A better match for the CW version perhaps. PE seemed to have hedged their bets between the two variations of red.

Thanks! I have the same KO for Superion and your photo inspired me to pose Superion exactly the same way. :)

Nope. They are very good quality. I have 2 sets. One for Superion and one for Menasor. I hope to get the whole set once I'm able to get the other combiners. I still have Defensor, Bruticus, Computron, LioKaiser, and maybe Sky Reign to get yet. The last 2 are a low priority compared to the first three.

I will consider to get this set, both this one and fruiticus.

The plastic is a little bit light, but its thick enough to support the combiner and not break. The tips are oddly not glues in, but I don't know if that's par for the course or not as my official PE kits aren't the ones with the cannons.

Official Perfect Effect is on par with something like the Masterpiece line, whereas the KO is like the CW G2 Bruticus (he has especially wibbly plastic). It'll hold up your combiner properly either way, and whether KO or not Perfect Effect is mandatory.

The only issue I've come across with on the KOs is a very slight wobble on the feet, even when set on a flat surface... and only on one pair. I have never encountered this on any of my PE sets, so it immediately struck me as odd; I've got 10 PE and 3 KO sets.

The plastic doesn't seem any weaker/stronger, or different to me. For colors I can't get with PE, I wouldn't hesitate to go KO. But given the choice, I would rather pay extra for PE sets.

So some of my friends have noticed that cracks are appearing on their CW and UW Afterburners on the windshield/canopy part of the motorcycle. Specifically, the cracks appear at the bottom of the clear portion of the windshield (roughly where the Autobot logo is on the UW version of the figure) near where the windshield is pinned to the figure with the hinge.

I'm assuming it may have something to do with the fact that the top of the windshield is meant to peg into the figure itself for motorcycle mode, and I think doing so (and also unpegging the windshield from the figure for transformation) might put stress on the plastic where the hinge is.

The HFG for the UW figure is also supposed to store on motorcycle mode by pegging into a hole on the top of the windshield, as the instructions say, and I suspect doing that might also lead to the windshield cracking, especially when you put in and take out the HFG.

So what I'm wondering is whether or not anyone else has experienced the same issue and whether it can be fixed. If not, does anyone know what to do to prevent it occurring in the first place? Admittedly, the issue has made me nervous for my own figures in that regard. I suppose using clear plastic for that part may not have been the best design choice, since clear plastic seems to have that reputation for not being able to take stress as well as other types of plastic without cracking.
