I'm with you. In every other case I prefer G1 accurate designs to "inspired by" versions but for some reason I love my Mania King

He is...in a manner of speaking. He's the same size as all the MP carbots. He's just not the size of MP-10. Personally I'm happy about that because it means that when TT or FT releases their Hot Rod he'll match up perfectly.

Thanks, GBM! :)  Its my work desk. Maniaking is so much fun, but then again so is Tyrant! I'm probably gonna cave and get the Titan Wars version too! I'm keeping my eyes on FansToys version as well. Galvatron is awesome! Wether crazy or cunning, he's always amazing...to me :D

I prefer Mania King over DX9's Tyrant, that's why I can patiently wait for FT or Hasbro's Galvatron.

I personally don't. I like the mold, period, but I prefer the darker, richer color of the purple on the original release. The gray legs of the vintage version are more animation accurate, but if you could Frankenstein both versions together so you'd have the darker purple and the gray legs, you'd have a nearly perfect Voyager Class Galvatron at that point.

Other than that, I don't see a need to obtain the Vintage. It's up to you, though, you'll have to decide which works better for you.

I prefer the original too... it is just the barrel isn't orange... really wanted a clear plastic upgrade from someone!

Really liking him still myself, especially the vintage version's color scheme. Robot mode has such an amazing silhouette!

But I can't pull the trigger on him for the sole reason that he's smaller than Hegemon. Hegemon isn't leaving my shelf anytime in the near future and I just can't own a Galvatron that's dwarfed by him. Saw one vintage version going MISB for $90 a few weeks ago and still passed on him... albeit grudgingly.

what was funny is that none of the figures have rotating wrist. Coincidence?

Mania King is still the best looking third party Galvatron out there imo.
I'll be keeping him with my TR Galvatrons, making a Galvy version of the OP style collections :D

He does look nice and is probably a good figure but I don't buy Third Party figures so he will never fit on my shelf. But if people enjoy him then all the power to them, I'll go and enjoy TR Galvatron.

Yeah, we all have a special particular figure which fits along official TF's, even though new 3P incarnations of a character are already here or on the horizon.
(I'm still in doubt to get Takara TR Galvatron or not.)

I still love my Sky Guardian for the CHUG 'shelf'. He'll fit really well alongside the Titans Return figures I still need to receive.
