I got mine about 1 month ago, I ordered as soon as I saw the clearance on BBTS.
Note that one of the leg part is already broken in the first transformation, so I contacted BBTS. The reply is I need to ship it back and wait on pre-order.

That's chimungmung's new website, robotoyBase. whole UT line is on sale, but not as much as BBTS.

Is that thing supposed to be fixed in the sense of safe to transform and what not? I love my DX9 Carry, but wouldn't mind having an official if I didn't have to live in fear of it falling apart.

I haven't received mine yet but apparently this guy went through and made a bunch of fixes to it. I imagine it's still kind of fragile but it's supposed to be a lot more solid. I don't know if this is a KO that's been altered, factory rejects that are fixed, or real releases that have had replacement parts. Hopefully mine arrives sometime this week and I'll have a better idea. Most of my stuff are shelf sitters so I won't be manipulating mine too much either way.

They seemed to mention all the weak points on the original figure. If they really fixed all those, you should be good. Only thing I'd watch that I don't recall being mentioned is the yellow fin when you put him into alt mode. The fin has to tuck into the trailer and it never fit right and got all scraped up. Make sure to fit it slowly but other than that you should be fine.

im gonna give this a go. I have an official v2 and one of the recent factory reject runs (the spoiler wont stay attached but its fine otherwise and displays well in vehicle mode) so I can compare the 3... to the extent I'm willing to risk it! more than likely I will just compare this new rebuild in robot mode to my original one which is in robot mode and then compare the rebuild vehicle mode to the recent factory reject run, which is in vehicle mode. I don't trust either of those enough to transform them again

We're talking about an aftermarket accessory for Allen: Rodimus Prime.

Well, I just happen to have received mine last week. I have no idea how he compares to the original release as I've never handled one, but I'm quite happy with my "refurbished" Rodimus Prime. I transformed him (very carefully) from car to bot mode without any issues. Nothing broke or felt like it was going to. No exploding shoulders or knees. No leg panels falling off. Backpack stays on. However, he is a delicate one. Some parts do feel pretty fragile. Posing the figure so it looks like it is standing naturally can also be challenging. Kind of reminds me of Apollyon in those ways. But otherwise not bad. So if you absolutely need an official, show accurate Rodimus Prime for your S3 shelf, but don't want to pay 400$ for a boxed one than may or may not fall apart on you straight from the box, this is the way to go and I recommend him.

I keep going back and forth with this guy. He looks like a chunky monkey in the pics but if you watch the movie, he was a bulky character.

I think the only thing that none of the 5(?) have managed to get right is his damn face. I still think Allen's got the best bod out of the lot (so far).

Hey guys, sorry to dig this thread up. I just preordered Allen from BBTS since they have that sale and he's 50% off. I was planning on waiting for Apache, but it's hard to justify the price differential. Is there anything I should be concerned about quality wise with Allen. I was always interested in him as obviously Springer is a favorite of mine. I may be willing to double dip for him. Just wondered if anyone knew why he was discounted so much. Thanks.

Is there a special autobot logo that fits perfectly into his chest, like MPP10s shoulder logo? Visually he looks great but that recess in his chest bugs the crap out of me.
