He is just soooo big. Like too big.... Unless there is plans to release a Hot Rod/Rodimus closer to this scale....... I mean this will scale with the new Toyworld Optimus won't he?

Springer is supposed to be that big. He's not carbot sized. The correct height is just-ever-so-slightly-shorter-than-Optimus. I'm not busting out the chart (I'll leave that for someone else), but this is basically spot-on.

EDIT: I did it anyway. The chart shows him between rodimus and optimus... (cue the "I don't care about the chart, I want him some other random size I imagined in my head" people)

Love it. Could not love it more.
G1 Springer was always big, thick, round, and looked burly and kinda fat most of the time. This is the first time I've seen anyone capture his proportions and the rounder look of the S3 guys. And it's a really cool-looking toy. Never thought I'd want a Springer but this looks really nice.
By now I know noone will be able to give me that sleek cool car and still make a decent bot out of it, so I gotta go with the bot mode, and this one looks great. The other MP Springer options are not even options.
    Nice job, UT!

This looks really good. If I do buy a 3MP of Springer, this will be it. I'll wait to see FT's final product, but this wins pretty handidly thus far.

Allen may be my first UT/DX9 product.

More 3P MPs from out of the blue! Looks good in bot mode although it does have that ultra "plasticky" look to it. I'm still riding on the FansToys version but this looks like a good 2nd option, at least aesthetically. It is a good homage to the g1 toon/movie IMO. I'd like to see more articulation in the fingers and rubber tires (maybe they are rubber, just can't tell from the pics) as I'm sure these are features we may get from the FansToys version. Not at all interested in the Toyworld version.

seems like there's something slightly off with each company's iteration of a springer figure

maybe this guy is just that hard to get right (kinda like sunstreaker)

The more I look at this the more I like it. The legs still feel a bit off, but it's not terrible. While I have plently of time to change my mind, this may wind up as a placeholder until I can compare/replace him with FT's offering.

The legs are a bit much for me, but as things stand I'd take this in a heart beat over FT's design. That being said FT will probably make some significant changes to that design but won't show them off till its much closer to release time. Like how everyone hated those initial Grinder sketches, but the recent prototype looks a lot better.

Except he doesn't scale with MP. I'd love an OS Classics Springer with some tweaks like an ankle rocker.

Looks great. Price point will determine whether I grab him or wait for FT's. Buzzing isn't perfect but was great value.

Oof, nice! I usually don't care for UT stuff but this actually beats FT's design for me. It has the organic curves of season 3, the car mode actually makes an effort unlike FTs, and overall it has the right 'character' for Springer. I'd be happy as is, but even happier if they changed the feet to grey.
Yeah and Star Saber too, he has that same big-leg look :)
Agreed, it's quite a feat to make a transformer form such a curvy bot, especially when the alt modes aren't particularly rounded. Barring other options I think I'll be going with this one.

I really like how UT provided actual photos right out of the gate instead of just renders.

He just looks so chunky and chubby and frankly doesn't match the animation model all that well IMHO. I get that certain compromises are inevitable given how they needed to make all of the various modes work, but the robot mode seems to suffer the most.

not bad. more love put into this design than most UT stuff which ends up looking off usually
