Your guess is as good as mine. These just arrived today.
Sorry to hear that... It must have been bad luck... Because humidity in the package is very unlikely...
Yeah, someone probably grabbed screws from the wrong bucket at the factory. I've never really suffered from any random QC fuck-ups prior to this, so I guess I was overdue.
I'd guess this is uncommon and would still recommend the figures.
Holy crap, that sucks dude.
Here you go:
About half a head.
Awesome, thanks a lot bud!
You need something like a kitchen cleaner on the screws - or leave them in cola for a bit - not to long or they will melt
Thjen varnish them afterwards.
I've scanned the thread a bit but didn't see any confirmation of how tall this set will be in combined mode? Saw a Photoshop and discussion about presumed height but do we have an actual height?
I could swear it was 46.3cm or something like that. 58cm overall.
Toyworld does him a solid. Now I'm happy.
I'm loving the look of Swindle, that face is spot on. I just don't know if I can get these guys with have my OS Warbotron already.
I hear you but these are the best MP scale Combaticons out there. Finally we have a Swindle that looks like G1 animation Swindle and without being overly toon. Warbatron was just too stylized for me so I never completed the set.
I have TFC Hercules as I thought that would be the deinitive Devy but best believe I'll be getting the FT version.
I'm hoping you're right Tigerblade. TWO inches shorter than Constructor would be disappointing. The whole "measured to top of head or overall?" question comes to mind right now though.
I'm also planning to add a set of the flare launchers. Those were clearly depicted on Brawl in the toon.
Sounds like work. No thanks. Appreciate the suggestion, but he bought a finished product not a model kit. If mine are rusted out upon receipt, they're getting returned.
Either that or just go to the store to get the same size screws and replace them.
I would probably do that over sending a figure back personally.
it sucks that there's no flat surface on Brawl's forearms for a con logo.
Reminds me of all the folks who would talk about what a great figure Omnigonix Spinout was if you didn't mind drilling out some holes, replacing a few joints, touching up the paint, molding and casting your own parts, quenching it in holy water, etc. I'm buying a finished product, not a degree in toy making.
And while I agree in principle with edgecrusher, this is probably how I'd approach it. Relatively simple problem, though a chance that if the corrosion is serious the screws snap off inside. No way I'd waste time and enerfy sending it back to China over some screws though. Maybe if a NA retailer, but still likely not worth the hassle if you can just clean it up.
Be sure to clean all of the rust inside the screw holes!
Anyone tried to fix the foot into swindle? Was hard work, thought I was gonna break it! Got there in the end though, just had to apply more pressure than I had expected
