The legs still look ridiculously flat to me at this angle.

 

Once the Fans Toys version and X Transbots version comes out, you will probably have 5 sets  .

I wish someone with some skill (not me) could produce a grey 'shell' to go around the thighs of Ragnaros to help complete the cartoon look and beef up the thighs a little bit. I'd also like to see a green/yellow set of feet that match Brawl/Swindle. I'd try painting my copy, but I'd rather have an extra set in case I want to return to original form. Has anyone seen anything like this being produced on shapeways or otherwise?

 

Thinking of selling my Ragnaros set if anyone is looking for any of them. I can't afford to have both UT AND Zeta sets and I've decided that Ragnaros is just too small for my collection...

 

I tried it but it didn't look right. Giving him thicker and longer thighs (to cover the slight extension) just makes the torso look even smaller than it does as stock.

They dropped a bollock with Onslaught. If they'd have gone the pantsformer route they'd have cleaned up.

 

If they'd have gone the pantsformer route, I wouldn't have bought it.

I know the pantsformer group is quite vocal, but for some of us adding more than a few smaller part just isn't "transform" enough.

If someone wanted a beautiful posable bruticus at the cost of feeling like a transformer - ymmv -, they could always have gone Zeta.
But I for one am happy that the Non-Pants option exists.

 

Been trying to decide which set to get. Thought Zeta’s combine mode looks good, I do transform my figures occasionally (surprise surprise lol) and thus UT’s looks like the set to get.

Zeta’s more of an ‘action’ figure imho. Great for posing as bruticus ONLY (don’t get me started on their individual bots...) whereas UT’s more intuitive and better all-rounder.

Still glad there are options for everyone, win win.  

 

Can Brawl and Vortex be used on either side with this Bruticus? Ie: could you make a combiner with 2 choppers and 2 tanks and just skip the shuttle and jeep?

Oh I misread your comment. There is a toon add on kit being worked on for Zeta. I have seen some mentions on FB. Sorry about that.

I'm not sure what the company name is. It was posted by a personal account. Not sure of the scale of the production. I just saw it a few days ago.

 

I'd definitly be interested in this if it had alternate toon accurate add ons & optional colors of the legs & feet... if thats even possible.

 

I remember someone was making that on the boards and apparently has it ready to go later on after he/she recieves their copy of Onslaught.

 

Not much of a fan of Bruticus like I am of Menasor, but toon colored feet and addons would tilt me over to buying this guy.
