I disagree with that. He only appears a certain height because of clever angles to hide his shorter stature. I'd rather it be more representative of his actual height so that we can also get an alt mode that scales well. That's fine if you prefer it larger due to perception, though. I just don't feel the same.

That sounds about right. Optimus is 9 inches tall, according to official Hasbro information (which seems to be pretty accurate) and it's been said Lockdown, here, is 8.7, which is just about perfect.

 

I wonder how willl Lockdown scales with WJ´s version of Hound.

I don't want the commander or other wei jiang things or the mid-bad-good HA figures with this awesome figure to be representative in my movie shelf just bacuse they should be like something that it's actually inconsistent itself.

OH NO! the mpm prime it's 2cm bigger when it should be 3!!!!.

Nobody and most of the people as me won't care such a thing of scale, even with lockdown wich height is such a hard thin to notice and most of the people don't see that he is exactly like 24ft.


I actually give lockdown the big trophy because even with not a compwex transformation, the use of clever steps to convert a standart carbot into a leader class is such a good and fresh thing to see nowadays.

I like this side of you. Please wear more often. Sometimes, I feel like menial things like harping on scale really detract from 90% of whatever else the figure achieved nicely, if not flawlessly. While I understand people buy some of these figures for their movie shelves, again, this guy and AA's Firage are in a class/specification of their own, and hold up to their own built standards

 

The Action Robo video has him at around 24cm, which is 9.5 inches. The comparison photo with mpm 4 seems to confirm this. So he'll actually be a bit taller than the leader class aoe/tlk primes.

 

I'm confused about that first sentence... Either way, there are people who care. I'd like to see it as close as possible to represent his actual scale and since he is too tall I simply won't buy it. I'm not saying it doesn't appear to be a fantastic figure, but to me, that's like pretending a Voyager prime is in scale with MPM Bee.

And before anyone says the figure is already completed and the scale won't change, that's not what I'm arguing. I'm just trying to disprove the misconception that he is 26+ feet tall and scales perfectly with any of the Leader class Optimus Primes. Just because someone thinks he looks better if he's tall doesn't mean they are right about his height.

 

Anyone know when this guy is going to be up on BBTS and TFSource?
