Sculpt looks really good and the engineering to get this from alt to bots modes is astounding. I do fear for the areticulation on the legs, though. And the lack of a waist joint, while not a deal breaker, is a bit of a let down.

 

That looks incredible. It is so bought. I have one concern though. It doesn't look like his chest is the front of alt mode like in the movie. Also how big is this guy?

 

That thing transforms? Wow. consider me impressed. Though by the looks of things, he may have a bit of car junk on his back. No biggie. I can live with that, especially considering how good the rest of him looks.

How big are we thinking this guy's going to be? Has anything been said?

 

I am too ingrained in older Transformers design and classic Mecha aesthetics as a whole to ever love the Movie designs, so I won't be getting this.

That said, it is always heartening to see a company take a chance and reach outside G1 for a design to do work with and the engineering going into this guy looks like the real deal.

Congratulations to the live action movie fans! I may not agree with how your bots look, but I agree you have the same right to get quality representations of them. ^_^

Seems to have double jointed knees, should be able to pull off a 90 degrees bend just fine.

 

I can barely believe what I'm seeing here, but I threw this together based on the size of the doors/wheels... the robot mode must just crumple into car-shaped ball of foil.

 

There was a post on facebook by Unique Toys,that got translated,in which they stated that he is gonna be leader sized

Probably not for preorder, though. I'll wait for reviews on this one.

 

Made a rough size comparison mockup based on the assumption that Lockdown is exactly the same height as ROTF Leader Optimus. I'm sure it's not 100% accurate but damn.
