Unique Toys just unveiled these pics showing their next duo of mini headmasters, and it's none other than Hardhead and Skullcruncher!

Nice! Good to know they will continue their fledgling Legends scale line. I figured with the new Fortress Maximus released there would be a need for some tiny -masters to man his battle station mode.

Not a fan of the faceplate face for Hardhead, but it is definitely faithful to the original toy like Tom & Jerry. IDW has gotten me accustomed to Brainstorm with a faceplate and Hardhead sans faceplate.

    *sigh*

It's getting harder and harder to avoid these Legends lines.

I'm on the hook for these - just got their Chromey and Wolfy so I'm going to need the rest that will hopefully/undoubtably follow.

Very basic but satisfying and functional. They aren't as "polished" as Iron Factory's Legends but these are still pretty good and on a par with the earlier War in Pocket stuff - which I also hope we continue to get. They have to do a Springer and Rodimus at least in that line.

It's bananas how a legends-sized figure's design is lightyears ahead of Swamper.
When I saw the previous offerings for this line, I hoped that they'd do Skullcruncher. I'm 100% in and I haven't even seen the paint, transformation, or price yet.

Should be as much as the previous set. I think $45 at BBTS and TFS. Cheaper at some other retailers.

Already looking forward to the Brainstorm or Chromedome/Mindwipe set. I wonder which Autobot will be the orphan figure.

You mean Brainstorm - Highbrow! ;)

There doesn't have to be an orphan just yet because they can go straight to Horrocons, Monsterbots, HM juniors or Snapdragon+Apeface. We can hope.

There could be 10 autbot HMs and and 8 decepticons.
To go with titan fortmax and scorponok.

Won't get too ahead of myself but i do think UT are onto a winner with these. Still not got Tom and Jerry yet but not much longer.

I'm really into the legends-scale stuff, but I'm just not feeling these tiny Headmasters. I passed on Weirdwolf and Chromedome and will probably pass on these, too. Maybe if they weren't coming out at the same time as Titans Return, which is producing some of my favorite deluxes in years.

D'oh! Yeah, totally blanked on Highbrow.

If they hit the HM juniors I hope they make an exception for their toy accuracy for Nightbeat/Siren. Or just release a set of alternate heads.

It will be interesting to see what direction UT takes their line of legends in: DX9 seems to be firmly cartoon inspired takes of G1 and Iron Factory is IDW inspired designs.

I really just want a good Squeezeplay and Fangry now that Weirdwolf and Skullcruncher are confirmed.

Yeah i guess it is as you say. I am behind on IF stuff, i am getting dx9 kup sometime and i have tom+jerry on the way - I gravitate towards G1. Aslong it doesn't put me off with whatever scale i have in my head.... I will catch up on IF when later.

I said it before and i will say it again dx9 should do legends triple changers. IF are bringing wow factor and dx9 can too - triple changers.

I aslo very much miss Arkstudio, their Datsuns still among my favourite 3p legends. Popular opinion be damned.

Blitzwing wasn't IF's best effort. Robot mode is fun, but space tank and space plane are just so-so; so there is a niche in the legends market if DX9 wanted to pursue it. They should have experience with their triple-changer MPs.

I wasn't a huge fan of Arkstudio's Datsuns, but I think I remember seeing a render or drawing for Sideswipe and/or Red Alert that looked good. It seems hard for companies to succeed with Legends scale. Shapeshift Inc. only got one set out too. I think Starscream's head is a little big, but I really like the Ironhide they produced. It looks good next to IF's Windblade and Hasbro's Starscream & Waspinator.

The bigger pictures helped! Thanks! I like the faces of UT's Decepticons better than the Autobots so far. The only think that really sticks out is the screw on Skullcruncher's chest. It's districting. It might look better once it's painted. Hardhead's guns also look nicely sculpted.
