Galactus walks on the surfaces of the planets he's about to consume, setting up his machines so he can harvest the energy. Unicron literally EATS them.

    Unicron by cosmic buffet.

Galactus prefers to use the machines... but the truth is he can just suck all the life force from a planet into himself while floating in space. That's how he used to roll before he made all his gadgets. I guess it's sort of the difference between eating your meal raw or cooked.

Depending on your origin for Unicron, you could just view his whole body as one gadget that allows him to eat planets, so it's not far off from the same thing. On a related note, we've never seen Unicron eat anything bigger than a small moon. Cybertron on the cartoon is really not very big, and by that measure, Lithone is even smaller. I wonder how long it takes Unicron to get through even a smallish planet like Earth?

Yeah, Unicron's a god, and he's completely destroyed multiple universes before.

Still, it'd be a close fight. I mean, between Galactus and Unicron. Not Starro. Starro's just dumb.

Galactus is not just an alien from a different world. He is a cosmic entity.

And Galactus is the Third Force of the Universe a balance between Eternity and Death.

They are above Gods in the cosmic order of the Marvel Universe.

Galactus's armor is actually containing the power of an entire Sun.

But what if Unicron had the Ultimate Nullifier?

I was going to point that out too, but I didn't want to go all-out Marvel Zombie. :)  The designation "god" in Marvel is a pretty broad category.

Also interesting in that Galactus is the last survivor of a prior, now-dead universe... he was literally present at the "dawn of time" as we know it. I believe that this is almost exactly the same as one of Unicron's origins (and not accidentally, since Unicron is a huge Galactus rip-off).

He would be destroyed along with Galactus and about 75% of the known universe. Yeah, the Nullifier is THAT powerful.

What? Only 75%? I'm sort of disappointed... if I'd put down money on something called an Ultimate Nullifier, I'd expect it to do the whole damn universe!

Unicron is a powerful dude, but Galactus is absurdly overpower, sort of depends on the writer, but he usually is goddamn unstopabble: I don't recall any occasions with him being "defeated", just being somehow convinced to NOT eat Earth.

So Unicron would probably be killed or would bore Galactus to death with his Hammy speeches.

More likely Unicron and Galactus are old buddies anyway and would just go out to the nearest solar system for dinner together rather than fight each other.

Unicron" "Are you gonna eat that last moon?"

Galactus: "Dear me no - I'm stuffed from all that gas giant I ate. I'll be regretting that later."

Unicron: "Sooooo... back to my place for 'coffee'?"

As soon as Unicron turned into his planet mode, wouldn't Galactus just eat him? o_O

I would think they would both try to eat each other. Kinda like a picture of an ouroboros.

Even as a transformers fan, I have to give it to Galactus. Hell, half of Unicron's origin (being a surviving member of the previous universe that survived the void and was reborn after the big bang) is cribbed from Galactus. Also Galactus has the power cosmic. he'd give some of his power to a cybertronian and THEY'D kick Unicron's ass.

Also, has Galactus ever really been destroyed? He's been defeated but always survived without having to rely on lame multiverse excuses.

And Galactus was never in any continuity created by a space monkey.

    Starro dies, end of story

Anyways as for Big G VS Unicron. When did Galactus last eat? if he is at hte levle of when he fought Tyrant (when Tyrant had his full power) i think Galactus COULD win (50/50 chance for 1 of them to win) Ultimate Nullifier would only be used as a last ditch effort.
