Who is a more powerful eater of worlds? and who'd win?
I'm almost completely sure we've had this argument before, and it's Unicron. He eats the universe itself, Galactus only planets.
A pretty common matchup. Even with the power cosmic, I don't see a giant astronaut with a funny hat and an eating disorder being able to beat literal robot satan, who is also a planet-sized space viking.
Let's not forget that Unicron has multiple bodies across the universe, Galactus only has one.
Viking? Oh, a conqueror. Yeah, the robot satan kind of gives Unicron a multidimensional advantage.
The true matchup is:
Death Star Vs. Galactus Vs. Ego, the Living Planet Vs. Unicron Vs. Mogo in an all-out deathmatch. Primus referees.
Unicron. Galactus is powerful but not powerful enough to defeat Unicron.
No, a viking, in terms of his aesthetic. Helmet, for example.
I'm pretty sure that Galactus is more than just a giant dude with a big helmet. I read an issue where Reed tells Peter that's just his physical manifestation in terms a human can comprehend, but that he is much more than that. Not saying he'd win necessarily, but that it's more of an even match than people may think.
Throw in the Beast Planet from War Planets/Shadow Raiders!
By the way they're usually described [with Unicron being robo-Satan and all], Unicron theoritcally should be the larger threat, but considering how they're portrayed...Galactus kinda has the advantage here.
Galactus is a God, the mere speed of his flight is enough to almost kill Doctor Doom [by accident, no less], Galactus once created a freaking star with a wave of his hand, he also once faced Mephisto [basically Satan on steroids in the Marvel Universe] and it ended on a stalemate. Oh wait, except he then threatened to EAT THE REALM OF HELL for lunch. Then Mephisto threw the fight.
It was also said Galactus is only focused on planets because it serves him well, it is said if he ever decided to eat the entire multiverse and all existant realities, he could do so with ease.
He also teleported an entire galaxy once.
What I'm saying here is, don't underestimate Galactus.
Galactus is not explicitly a god in the Marvel Universe, though his use of the power cosmic and his origin in a previous incarnation of the universe may make him seem like one. His power as a cosmic being should rate higher than the celestials, but below those of beings like the proemial gods and Eternity, though he was able to defeat the proemial gods.
How deity works in the marvel universe is weird.
Also if were talking about Unicron trilogy Unicron when he died his corpse formed into a black hole which nearly consumed the universe. So yeah...
I meant on a metaphorical sense. "God" in the sense of "being who can do some really powerful Stuff"
I am fairly certain Galactus could just close a hole like that.
The two should get together for an epic crossover.
Unicron ate the original multiverse.
Unicron not only survived the Big Bang, he slept through it.
When Unicron and Primus fought, the universe shook. Stars imploded from their blows.
Even in his weakened state trapped in a robotic form he can warp reality, revive the dead, mind control, travel through time-space and the multiverse, and gobble up stars and the stuff of space itself.
For Galactus to even be a threat to Unicron he'd need to not be hungry which he always is and he'd need to Ultimate Nullifier which I doubt would help anyway.
