We all know that the trilogy really didn't turn out the best but we can agree on one thing.... The music is maybe the hardest part of the trilogy they worked on...

    What do you guys think?

Micron Legend - excellent music. Not all of it is a perfect fit for the series, but it is all very listenable and sounds epic. Same composer who worked on Front Mission 3, though this is probably their better work (saying that, I've never finished Front Mission 3)

Super Link - weakest of the three soundtracks. The CD in particular is marred by having some good tracks but being mostly weighed down with multiple remixes of the triumphant hero's march theme. Would have rather had fewer tracks, and longer compositions, and a single version of that theme.

Galaxy Force - suitably epic music for a series with an epic scope. Nice and well done compositions, though overall not as memorable or as catchy as the Micron Legend soundtracks. The music's often unobtrusive in the series and really fits the mood of the scenes well, and there's a huge wealth of music only used in one or two scenes spread across the two CDs. But the more commonly used themes don't grate as much as that one theme from Super Link.

Overall Micron Legend is my personal favourite, though the others have a nice selection of great and good tracks.

If we go by theme songs, I'd have a much harder time calling it.

I genuinely can't bring any of the Armada soundtrack to mind, but I love the Cybertron score.

Energon's music.......? Well, it was still the best thing about the show, I guess....

I'm surprised at that. Personally I found Superlink to have the best Soundtrack of the three (in fact, excluding Animated, one of the better soundtracks in a long time) and has some of the more enjoyable and varied music, especially for being on the road. Though I'll admit I cut it down to a single CD of music to listen to in the car.

I'd say Cybertron! Best music they ever made with all that heart-racing excitement, especially during the racing episodes. I even liked the touch of them using music from the Galaxy Force series...

Oh crap, now you've gone and made me cry. Please don't remind me about the theme song 'A Time to Part', that was sad enough as it was with Vector Prime moving on. :(
