those that get the takara version will be able to put Primus next to his box and not have to look at the emptied box because of the window  

 

I like the idea of a Unicron head, but I don't really like the half face or the big-fat tentacles. It's still a cool little extra though and I'd like to have one, but it's Primus that I'll be spending money for not Unicron's Head. I guess I just don't have the energy to bitch about little things at the moment(altough I'm sure I'll get it back  ).

 

By US exclusive do they mean ONLY the Primus' sold in the USA will have the head, or do they mean US exclusive like Energon Sharkticon ? I fail to see why they would release a head ONLY in the USA and not all of North America.

It's CARDBOARD.

You know someone will scan the boxart somewhere, put it on the net, and I will print it out on glossy cheap paper, frame it and bingo, I'll have it too without paying twice as much.

To each their own though, I'm not ripping on anyone I just don't understand it. If you can afford it and can't wait, more power to you.

 

The head is just a small clump of dried orange and grey goo to some of us. Don't try to denigrate us for prefering a huge box covered in nice artwork. Not to mention getting it several months earlier.

I'm with Cruellock on this one. We need better clarification on what exactly a "US only" is? I hope us Canadians don't get shafted here.  

 

If you actually read his post, he said he wasn't ripping on anybody, he just couldn't understand.

Neither can I, as cardboard boxes are meant to be ripped open and thrown out, so the toy can be displayed as it should.

Twice the price for a nicer box? I can wait a few months, thanks. The head doesn't even figure in, nice or not.

honestly, i think it's a cool little extra that's pretty well sculpted, and hope it's a nice size that Primus can hold in his hand...

 

I'll help two people one from Canada and one from the United Kingdom get the Primus W/Unicron Head, if they so desire.

Some people like to keep the boxes. I do when the boxes are nice enough (TFCs, ehobby, alts/bts) and the Takara Primus box is definintely designed for people who keep the boxes.

To clarify what I said earlier (which I don't even remember now) I'm getting the toy either way. The choice is basically box or head. (eww that sounds wrong) I can afford the extra for the Takara version, and having it sooner is nice too. So there!  

 

I can't *L* not to mention I have the patience to wait just another three months yay! I think its cool, even if its not nearly as good as it COULD have been, its still neat, and its FREE! its 3" tall, and will look good not only orbiting Primus, but also in my Bad Bots thread

For me it is so important for nostolga. It is a G1 inspired box, I started collecting with G1 (here in the US). Seeing that box brought back part of my childhood, and I liked it. So that is my 2 cents.

 

Any chance the tentacles are detachable?

It makes for a step in an interesting cycle. G1 Unicron's head was left in orbit around Cybertron, where it acumilated debris becoming the moon that transformed into Armada Unicron. (Hey, it's the same continuity in Japan. Shut up, and let me finish) Now, we have Armada Unicron's head, that start that all over again.

Just see tank Unicron as an extension of of Unicron, and not a downscaling of the whole.
