Am I the only one who likes the old Armada head sculpt better than the 2010 version?
It looks far better detailed than the new G1 accurate version.





The new one looks too dull to me, yes it's G1 accurate, but it doesn't appeal to me.

 

in all honestly your probably right (although it does fall into eye of the beholder territory) But after 1 repaint and...what 1...2 rereleases? They needed something to justify anyone buying it beyond JUST a repaint.

 

i bought two of these babies already. no more. i'm sticking with the armada one but i do like the new one. for that price, i wouldn't bother. 50$ maybe 40$ done. deal.

 

Old one is too Bay-verse for me.

I like the new head mold. Also it's the first brand-new Unicron I've bought... so I'm glad to have the Amazon exclusive one. Like others stated on the boards, the bluish tint in the gray bit isn't nearly as bad as seeing it in person. He looks great.

 

I like the G1 toon accurate version better. The Armada gives me the x-men Magneto vibe.

 

Hmm, the old one does look like it's pouting, and has a butt chin instead of a beard.

I like the "facial hair" more in the new one.

 

getting the new one then selling my Armada one(which is complete unlike the 1st one I got when it first came out,which is now Headless)

 

If you can get it at it's MSRP of 60$ I say gopher it. If you see them at 120$+ forget it...

 

I am fine with my Armada Unicron and i can not justify buying a second version of this mold, save perhaps the Energon Unicron and even that is a long shot.

 

I dont mean to sound predictable. But I prefer the new remolded head.

The Armada head looks (and was painted) like ASS.

 

I prefer the G1 style one. The Armada one is more detailed, but I don't really care for the design. I always liked Unicron's G1 head design.

 

both look like Unicron. That's good enough for me.

 

I bought I was the only one, I've always liked the Armada version myself. The collector in me wants to get the new just because its "new" but personally I like that armada one better. Maybe if it goes on clearance or I get a good deal in one but I dont think i really need a third Unicron, Armada and Energon are enough for me.

 

I have a sealed Armada one and want the newer one just because I like the head sculpt better.

 

The Amazon one is my only version I own but I do admit the old head does not look bad. So I am happy with what I have but I would not bash the old.

 

Nah. I don't like the stupid purple thing on his forehead. And the newer head is smaller so it makes his overall proportions look even bulkier.

 

If anyone would like to trade heads then (my Armada for your Amazon), I'm down for it.  

 

I preffer the old one. I had the option to get the new one (Don't ask.) and I turned it down. Just because I had the thought of "What do I need two Unicron for? I like the Armada just fine"
