    Toy Info - Status (Released, Not Released, Cancelled, Delayed) - Cancelled

    Toy Info - Additional Info - Unicron toy (different from unreleased BW Neo version ) was eventually released 4 years later, in Armada line.

    Cartoon / Movie - Overview - Unicron is believed to have been dead since the Great War, his destroyed body floating near planet Cybertron. But he comes back in the form of Galvatron (BW II) and he uses Blentrons to collect Angolmore capsules (which are revealed to be originally his energy).
    In Comic Bom Bom manga, he first appears as "Black Ball" and manipulates Cybertrons and Destrons into finding Angolmore capsules, then later emerges as Unicron head.
    In both stories Unicron takes over the control of Vector Sigma and planet Cybertron.

    In Beast Wars Neo cartoon, Destrons are not from planet Cybertron, but planet Dinosaur (Destron ship is named after their home planet). Planet Dinosaur was consumed by Unicron during the Great War.
    *In manga, each Cybertron soldiers are apparently from different planets, and they each have their own god of creation, who appeared to be BW II characters. For example, Corahda's home planet has Scuba as their god who has given snakes the ability to transform.

    its too bad this was never released. but he does have alot of back kibble, like half his planet mode.

    I like that Unicron more than the Armada one they released. This one has a more powerful look to him.

    Me, too. I suppose the line didn't sell well enough for Takara to go ahead with the figure?

    Yeah, that's why I like him too. I always thought he had a kinda Viking thing going for him.

    My understanding was that Neo performed so poorly that Takara decided to try their own reboot back to Car Robots. That was also a huge flop so they took a break from Transformers with Web Diver, which also did not succeed and then worked with Hasbro on Armada and its sequels.

    The fact that BW Neo didn't sell well helped me a lot with collecting the line as I started late, though I wonder what Takara was thinking at that time selling such complicated toys.
