If you have not read Revolutionaries (a Barber comic) explain a little what happened to Krake, here a summary taken from tfwiki: Spoiler - At some point over the next five years, under unknown circumstances, he lost control of Cobra to Tomax. His fate is currently unknown; to date, save for a poster bearing his likeness decorating the quarters of Siren's Cobra Youth son Isaac, he has not resurfaced. -Five years later, Tomax Paoli would oust Krake from leadership and go on to bring Cobra out of the shadows, reforming the ancient conspiracy into an outwardly legitimate security firm with humanitarian ties. Under his leadership, Cobra would keep the peace in the Eastern European nation of Schleteva during its war against Galibi, but his brief reign ultimately collapsed after G.I. Joe managed to bring down Cobra from the inside. - It too provides some vague closure to the stories begun in G.I. Joe vol. 4 and Snake Eyes: Agent of Cobra, the final G.I. Joe comics published by IDW prior to their revival as part of Revolution. As things had been left, Snake Eyes was working for Cobra for no clear reason, and Big Ben and Duke had allied with Isaac Craft to take down Cobra; this issue reveals that Snake was actually working as a deep cover agent for Joe, and is implied to have been the one who killed Isaac when whatever he, Duke, and Ben did went down. That...makes sense actually. I know I haven't given too much thought with the beastformers blindly following Shockwave. When you think about, if Shockwave loses, it's a chance that in the reboot BW Megatron will take after HIM in the name of Cybertron instead of Megatron who betrays the Decepticon ideal Shockwave has. Would he keep the name sorely to spite current Megatron given by Shockwave? Or would he attempt to rebrand himself to honor his master's wishes? Does this mean he'll be....SHOCKBLAST?!
I actually did read Revolutionaries, and while it certainly acknowledges Krake, it still never really explained what happened to him. He was such a strong presence in the comics. To just say Tomax took control and Krake was never seen again never really say well with me. I've always felt like there was something else there. Hopefully we might get a little bit of an explanation here, but I'm not expecting too much. After all, this is a Transformers comic, not a G.I. Joe comic. I don't think that is the original Cobra Commander, seeing as he's, you know, dead. I'm fairly certain it's actually Tomax Paoli, who took to wearing that outfit during Revolutionaries.
You know, ever since she was introduced, I was convinced that Buster was gonna bite it. I mean, I don't wanna see a cute puppy doggy die, but, considering the circumstances... Also, can we acknowledge how adorable it is that Thundercracker's communicator is in his hand, and thus he uses it like a hand/finger phone? I live for visual humor like that.
I wouldn’t put too much on IDW BW Megatron. This isn’t the mastermind of the beast wars cartoon. He’s pretty much one of shockwaves loyal bodyguards and that’s all. Obviously these really aren’t the characters of that era. They are more than anything generics with iconic appearance. That being said about him honoring shockwave , to quote Megatron from The Nemesis Part 2 “YOU DARE USE THE H-WORD TO ME?!”
I have no clue what Skywatch is but I guess it's some sort of planet watch task force (As I said I've only read MTMTE) but at no point did any Autobot come forward with what must be hundreads of provable crimes and want to convict him or just expose him for his crimes? Or a decepticon turn up and ask wtf was going on? From the sound of it he just flipped sides and just had a total personality change because "lol so random"
Look at Bee and Stardrive in that cover. Bumblebee should stop trying to get all the triple changers; he will already have to fight three in his movie.
Read The Transformers (2009) #3 and then the "Earthfall" arc of Robots in Disguise (2011) or read the summaries of those. That'll get you up to speed
Love seeing Stardrive on the cover, same to Strongarm! And liking the callback to her mini with what seems like Stardrive might be half Dire Wraith now or something else new tied to the story. Preview pages are a fun read too. Looking forward to reading this story as completed.
i made a video dub, cutting out the 'contemporary, not tf related stuff, mostly... its got music, voices, and only the panels done by Guido Guidi and focuses on explaining who Centurion is.
Thanks Susha i actually quit collecting Transformers comics after 34 years strait, last November. And i missed the Revolutionaries comic last year i still would like to see more vf videos like this do you have a YouTube channel?
ty for asking (petrol wabbit) the answer is YESS! and.. as I keep improving some of my dubs I am asking around for voice actors for the Last stand of the wreckers dub I made, you can find most of the comic dubs I made in 'my' playlist I'd link you some more but I don't want to intrude on the thread. Just a word more if I may, they are all fan made non profit, and are 'edited' to fit my vision of the lore, hence I edited out things I don't like (eg I made an extract of Headmasters episode on Beastformers and tried to keep Daniel totally out of the story - Or in my LsotW dub, I removed mention of megatron being dead, to fit my vision of a unified lore, or rather the parts I like from here and there. To get back on topic, same, I sort of stopped last year as first strike kicked inn, I do feel however, after having followed ever since all hail megatron, that it would be a pitty to jump off just as everything gets tied together.
Nothimg wrong with that its your creation but it is nice that you let me know. I am subscribed now too so i can watch them all if i want to I love the Hail Megatron series. Thats going back 10 years or more i still have the full run. I am more interested in reading digital now though. Thanks for the update
u're in luck (does it count as part of AHM?) (what ruined AHM was the MASSIVE continuity error - but the writing, especially if compared to ...'other' more recent series... is shakespeare..)
I do too. . l actually love a lot of the concepts presented in it. Taken in isolation I think it’s awesome - it suffers from the abrupt cancellation of Furmans plot lines and not making sense in the context of Furmans work. I think if it had been done as a work of its own (as was originally intended) it would be more fondly remembered.
Continuity error was big, but i heard somethng they were doing this year was supposed to cover all that? I mean im sure only to a extent, right? . Basically just a re write to right the wrongs. Or was that in 2017, hmmm. I may have collected til late 2017, but i got way behind reading comics way earlier. Way back when Hurricane Irene happened was the start. it ended up closing the store for a good year, and the entire store got ruined but the funny thing was i just lost my license, so that day before the entire plaza got destroyed i called to see what comics they had of mine, & after the call they left about 3 months worth of my comics up on the top shelf. The story was they were too busy to put them back. Well any other time i might of cared, but i was the only one that had comics left of any of the subscribers. Granted most subscribers picked up every week or 2 and i was more like only 5 times a YEAR, but even still it reminded me of when my house flooded the flood went AROUND my comics that were in just in a white comic box right on the floor. The entire place got wrecked but my toys were upstairs and my comics were protected by god, some would say. It litterally like the water got out of the way and just went around the comics. Were talking all my 1984 to 2011 comics Ive always had a guardian angel but why would they give a shit about comics? They wouldn't as far as im concerened. But sure enough things have happened many times where i have had unconventional luck! Anyways, the store was closed but bc i had the most comics on subscription and bc i was kinda close buyer of theirs they contacted me to say they keep my subscriptions just that i would have to pay when they opened back up. Granted i got the comics except the 1st 2 months worth IIRC. but it got me so far behind it became a headache to try to get caught up. In 2013 February they opened back up my bill was somewhere in the neighborhood of $330 & i think they gave me an icredble discount too.
