Took me 2 weeks but I finally finished this thing. When I originally thought of this video almost 2 years ago, I had intended to make it entirely about Black aracnia and Silverbolt. But I never made it because I needed better footage of Beast Machines. Now we got these spiffy DVDs But unfortunately I realised that Silverbolt really wasn't in the show much. so I had to rethink the video, and almost scrapped the idea, in favor of an easier project involving Rattrap that someone requested of me. But after listening to the song a couple dozen times, a really felt the connections that each verse had to certain pairs of charactors. So I played around with the combinations (most of them were no brainers) and selected my footage. What I didn't realise was how long this fricken song is. And how hard it would be to follow the different melodies and instruments and still tell each "chapter" as I'm calling them. Each verse of the song follows 2 charactors, succesfully (hopefully) telling part or all of their story. First verse fit well with Nightscream and Noble. The second was the hardest, it fit Rattrap but Botanica didn't have much to offer. The Third verse was where I had the easiest time, because I had it planned out from the start for Silverbolt and BA. Finally ending with Optimus and Cheetor. Check out Unforgiven Beasts 35.3 MB in mpeg format So hopefully you guys like it as always comments and criticism are welcome. Edit: Oh and I animated a Brand new opening sequence just for fun.
Very nice. One of the only Metallica songs I like too. I enjoyed the opening too. ha. I have no real criticism; it's one of the few videos I really enjoyed. Well, this and Kickback's Armada Starscream video are the only ones that have been moved into my video playlist.
Two weeks to "finally" finish a work? Heh. My Ops/piano theme project was in various stages over the course of a year. Will download and critique soon.
Just comparing, since I don't get a chance to compare techniques with many people. Watched the video. Pretty interesting. Full review coming soon.
It is very good from what I saw of it, however, it only allowed me to download about 60%, as nearly as I can judge. I really like what you did with savage/noble.
Beast Machines lacked the rock music heard in G1 and Beast Wars, so it added a more classic TF feel to it, I think.
Nice vid. I figure that it would have made a bit more sense to be if I had seen BM, but it was cool none-the-less.
