    Ebay:
So, I recently received a package I got off ebay for $30, which was a lot of Beast Machines toys.

I wasn't a fan of the show at all, and everything I've seen of the toyline has put me off it. I only bought the lot because it had Thrust and Blackarachnia in it, and I was slightly interested in those two.

Unfortunately, those two left me a bit tepid, didn't quite hit the spot. But, fortunately, the rest of the box, which I was just going to write off, turned out uncommonly good.

Scavenger, Cycle Drone, Mirage, and Blastcharge were actually quite good fun, especially considering 3 of them were Basics. But the real joy came from the two Mega-class guys.

Tankor is all kinds of awesome, even if his vehicle mode is a bit flimsy. Plus, he rivals Animated Swindle in my eyes for best light-piping gimmick ever. If you don't know, he's got a knob on his back that'll actually make his cyclops eye turn back and forth, and the light-piping works no matter where it's pointing. That's damn cool. He's seriously in my top 5 tankformers now.

And the other, which I know is probably going to raise some eyebrows, is Mega Cheetor. Yeah yeah, I know what everyone thinks of him, but after getting him in my hands, I'm actually kinda in love with it. Once I figured out the trick to making him stand up, I really started to admire his abundance of joints, and his colors really do it for me. And his proportions, while weird, makes him stand out.

Only downer for me is Cheetor's missing his tail, but if I can find one, I'd LOVE to complete him.

So, what are some Transformers that you picked up, expecting either nothing or the worst, that ended up destroying your expectations?

Legion Arcee is my come-from-behind knock out of a Transformer. I got her for completionism's sake, not having any real expectations. She slowly grew on me, until she became my favorite legion figure. Her proportions are...cute? Feminine? I can't place it. She's great all over.

Cybertron Ransack. I recently dug him out, and man, I forgot how fun the older scouts were.

PRID Bulkhead. Everyone talked about how crappy it was but my son wanted it, no way was I going to pay what people wanted for the FE. I loved the figure right off the bat. I turned around and went right back to Wally World to get one for myself.

    Transformers:
    Cybertron Scrapmetal.
This little drone is kinda cute and he's nicely articulated even if there's a massive gun on his shoulder.
    ROTF Soundwave.
In spite of how little screen time the Satellite Pedophile gets, and how much I initially didn't like the way he looked (coupled with the fact that his hands aren't useful for holding anything) He's grown on me. He's got the "Soundwave Look" to him with the three translucent Blue bits on his chest and the smaller red bit on his abdomen making the tape door and buttons.
    GI Joe:
    Renegades Ripcord
I initially thought very poorly of this figure. Then I put the helmet on his head, his rifle in his and and realized this pegwarmer made a good shocktrooper with a few modifications.

    There's been a few...

DOTM Bumblebee, he really is a fun mold; better w/ nitro's head on him too.
Solar Storm Grappel: this guy is great for SO many customs
DOTM voyager Sentinel Prime: much, much better in hands than in photos or reviews
PCC Searchlight: by himself, he's great

Prime Wheeljack. I thought he would be rather mediocre, but the little bastard is my favourite deluxe. He watched Hurt with me today. :D

Cybertron Landmine/07 Grindcore, chunky, fun little toy with both modes being great. I use Landmine as Classics Scoop and Grindcore as Roadblock.

DotM Voyager Shockwave. Openly asked myself when I bought it what the heck I was doing. Did it again when I opened it up to mess with it. Now I own all repaints of this toy and have them each posed differently thanks to just how many miles you can get out of that big dude.

I wasnt into the animated TF at all so i skipped that entire lineup.SO recently I found a seller that had most of the animated TF for dirt cheap so I bought the lot.I must say they are pretty fun and accurate to the cartoon and i love Voyager Optimus prime.

    G1 Vroom
    G1 Skyhammer
    G1 Battlefield Autobot Headquarters

BW Optimal Optimus, though BM Primal Prime puts it to shame even

    RiD Predacon trio :D

Armada Bendy Prime (and it gets even better with age)

    Cybertron Armorhide

That's just right off of the top of my head of figures I didn't expect a lot out of.

SDCC Bruticus is even more awesome than I expected, and for some reason I cannot put down FOC Optimus.
