I was checking out GameFAQs list of DS games, when I came upon some very unexpected titles.

    Dragon's Lair
    Dragon's Lair 2: Time Warp
    Space Ace
    Spore
    Napoleon Dynamite
Bangai-O Spirits (JP only at the moment. We better get it.)
    Metal Slug 7
    Milon's Secret Castle
    Loony Toons: Duck Amuck

Besides these, I also saw a remake of Devilish at Best Buy. Weird.

Well, Spore was already anounced as being for "all platforms" so that shouldn't really be a surprise, and Bangai-O was announced a while back.

The Bluth laserdisc games are a surprise to me, but I suppose the DS cards have enough capacity to handle direct ports of them at its resolution.

New Metal Slug and Milon games can only be good news :)

I don't see why Dragons Lair would be a suprise, it shows up on just about everything that is capable of running something that at least vaguely resembles the game.

In fact i'm amazed that there isn't a Wii version announced yet where you wave the remote in the apropriate directions.

As much as I like the Wii remote, that would be really lame. A sequel to Dragon's Lair 3D based on Time Warp might be cool though.

A guy on the DL forum said he saw the tech demo, and that it looked really nice.

Ah Dragon's Lair. One of Don Bluth's works that I have yet to take the time to appreciate. In fact that entire line up looks pretty damn nice. Wonder why it hasn't shown up in Nintendo Power yet.

And I will personally be all over Metal Slug 7.

Haven't played Dragon's Lair in a while. Actually I had an old Pc version of the game a long time ago (It was all in CGA). Animation wasn't bad but some scenes were removed or were flipped and repeated a few times.

I thought Call of Duty 4 was pretty out-of-the-blue.

Pretty much every version of the game did that. It would move some scenes around and reverse them, so you couldn't just memorize a pattern.

Ya but I actually got to play the compmlete version of the game later on, the CGA version was almost overkill in terms of how many times a scene would repeat.

Actually I think I have Dragon Lair III somewhere as well (Can't play it though since it's on 5 1/4 high storage diskettes)
