    I am equal parts intrigued and skeptical about this. Hard to imagine someone having absolutely NO exposure to the "outside world" at this point.

    But good grief -- if it's genuine, this flyover could really throw their society for a giant loop.

    This whole bit blows my mind.

    I can't even imagine what that must be like for them--although I do enjoy the fact that they're pointing arrows at the bird. See something strange, better try to kill it! Some things are universal constants, I guess.

    It is amazing to think that there are tribes of people that are still completely isolated like this. It's why I liked the Living With the Mek series on A&E (I think).

    I bet when they tried to tell the other about it (in my mind only those three ever saw the plane) they treated them like when some one sees a UFO. "Ok let me get this straight... You say there was this giant bird in the sky that made a roaring sound as it flew by? Suuuuure you did.

    From what I read a few years back the Brazilian government considers keeping these uncontacted tribes uncontacted serious buisness.


    Not much reason for jet liners to fly over that area. It's about as remote as the arctic islands.
