According to KYM, that's "officially" where the term came from. So it's either that or the "bro + pony" thing. Either way, it's still brony in the end.

Normally they are called bronies as well, but some have taken to using the term "Pegasister" to describe female fans.

 

Better be careful. The last time we had one of these threads I discovered the show and became a fan. There's no telling who it will happen to this time.
