What do you think of the toy? I was hoping he would combine with Prime. Combining his hammer with Prime's ax, that would make one sweet attack.

i love the toy, esp. how the wheels seem to dissolve-one set is in each leg, but the other 2 sets vanish-and he is as show accurate as ive ever sen, and im glad they dont combine-why would they?

The toy looks the best out of every Animated figure I've seen so far, and they've put out some really good ones.

I kind of wish he had a little more classic red in his design.

Aside from that, TFA Ultra Magnus is nearly perfect.

QFT, this may be the best toy in the Animated line.

The wheels fold over one another, completely covering them from all angles except the rear, VERY clever design. I love it. :D

The whoel fortress on wheels, giant hammer and speaking gimmick just adds layers to the figures appeal.

I wonder what his lines will be?
I hope either "Transform and Roll Out" or "I can deal with this now!" make it.
Even if he hasn't said the latter in the show,

Seriously, even animated haters have to appreciate leader Magnus.

I am super happy I didn’t waste my money on the movie leaders.

Animated UM will be one of the two (for now) toys I intend to purchase from this line - the other being Blackarachnia. I was planning to get Leader Megatron until I saw how simplistic the transformation was in the video review. UM's transformation appears to be a lot more involved, and I think he will fit nicely with Cybertron Defense figures - in both robot and vehicle mode.

a very impressive toy by any standard. the dynamic (ie the overall difference) between the alt mode and bot mode is incredible. once we see teh upcoming blurr etc, i reckon i might say animated is by a long shot the most inspired, solid and fun TF line since G1. I simply love the minimal designs, the simplicity of transformation, the colours. makes the movie line look so overworked and ugly.

what people like is very subjective of course but id agree that the UM design has a very classical look that would likey appeal to many people, its more like a roman statue than a toy!! when i see the movie toys on shelves i simply cringe.

Ultra Magnus is awesome. He'll probably be my favorite TF figure from this year, let alone the Animated line. Actually, I'm glad he and Optimus Prime don't combine with each other. There's a good chance, imo, that the combining gimmick would have ruined the toy. That and it wouldn't make sense for the characters, imo.

Nah, way too hard to see from the angle it's held at. I hope it's long enough to touch the ground though since just about every scene he's in has him doing that. :lol

And I liked the movie toys, they're not as good in the wake of animated's line up reveal but that won't stop me from wanting TF:2 figures as well.

I wonder how he'll compare to what a lot of people agreed was the best toy of last year.
    Leader Class Optimus Prime.
