I cut pieces from the staff that came with DC Universe Classics Deathstroke

    Thanks!
I also have a thread started for Rodimus,
would love to hear everyone's comments on him as well! I just figured
out the winnebago mode sculpt last night too, so it's coming along well.

lol... I never noticed that before! Looking at videos now I thought
it might have been a color error in the cartoon but it's like that in
    TFTM too!
I believe you are right, it would help to break up the white,
I might try it. Another thought is to paint it
black and drybrush silver on it, to give it a gunmetal look.
I'll see what looks good and post some more, thanks for the tip!

In the words of Keanu Reeves... woah.

I ever would've guess that Grapple would be a good mold for an Ultra Magnus, but that looks amazing! Hasbro would never do this, but it would be a great way to do a Classics Ultra Magnus if they don't want to make a new mold.

Now that I've seen this, I cannot unsee it! It works so well with the mold. You sir, are both a madman and a genius. I salute your madness.

Pretty much finished here, some final paint apps (I like the red bumper!) and shots:

"Sweeps, Terminate Him!" (those pop-off parts come in handy here)

    Thanks for all the comments!

Next: working on my Rodimus Prime custom and a new Decepticon custom.

Did you dissassemble him at all to undercoat, or just spray away? Also how good/bad is he for paintrub areas?. Any help would be appreciated, as I plan on making one of these for myself!

I did as little work as possible. The arms and shoulder panels
practically fall off by themselves, so those I took off before
spray paint. Ironically, the primer helps them stay on better!

Paint rub is not really that bad overall. The worst of it is
in the edges of the shoulder panels

Very nice vidmouse. Were you able to seal the paint off? BTW, the rocket launchers on his shoulder, I'm assuming that those were from Tomahawk, right? How about the red missiles?

I used Future shine to seal it, works great.
The rocket launchers are in fact from Tomahawk.
The missiles are cut from spring loaded weapons that came
with GI Joe Rise of Cobra movie figures (Storm Shadow I think)

If you are looking for star-type missiles, you might also want
to try using a wire nut from a hardware or electronics supply
store. I know they make some with wings for easier tightening,
but not sure if they make them w/ "star" wings.

Wow, he's looking god and the red bumper really does well on him, glad that worked out :)  Painting the entire back makes it look more like a Chest too.

Wow... seeing him painted up... I'm quite amazed at just how well that works for him! Great idea and great job man!

^ THIS sold me on the idea.

You should add the finished pics on your first post btw. That way people can spot the end result as soon as they click, rather than scour thru the thread for them.
