I did not see this anywhere else, so feel to close move or merge. BBTS has a preorder up for Another Japanese release of the two ULtra BW leaders. It looks as if they went back to the original mold, with the updated color scheme. I might have to wait for a %50 off sale or something. 45 a piece is steep for molds I have several times over.

Hey you know what? You are correct, sir! I think this should definitely be news worthy. Certainly a change of pace from box office earnings, at least.

I don't really know what to think about it. I don't get this move on Takara's part other than to fulfill show-acc non-remolded figures for their 07 reissue line up. I guess it's better than rereleasing the remolds which have pretty much hit saturation with releases in Japan and US. Hmmm...

Actually, Op looks pretty sick with all that silver. Hope it looks that good when all is said and done (better pictures would really help here).

I noticed that when I was preordering my Titanium Magnus.

I wonder what is up with that: why would they go back to the old mold?
    Here is the link: clicky!

Also, anyone know the story or more details behind this?

I might have to get this. I lost mine when I was 8, and the local toy store has Megatron for $65, so it's a good deal

They're the same big ones that came out in 1995.

If you see them packaged together, they are the mostly the original molds with some remolding and paint to be more show accurate.

If you see them packaged separately, they are smaller reimagined versions of the characters -but still cool.

I saw two packages of the larger set last week at a Toys R Us. Its possible there are still some in your area.

Or, you could buy this which would be about $60 for both as opposed to nearly $60 for one from BBTS.

Seriously, I would check Toys R Us first. Look in the overstock section, too.

They should be doing the Transmetal mega versions instead.

    AND RAVAGE!

Truth, but isn't Ravage's mold missing? (can't see why they wouldn't make a new one... well besides costs)

As smasher said: 2-pack is the bigger ones; the smaller ones are packed seperate, deluxe-sized and brand new molds to boot.

I love the Primal. The silver and faceplate intact looks great.

Meg's is just meh. What can do to him beyond remolding his tail arm, which they will never do.

Like I said. 50% off sale. Thats how I got my recolored Robot Masters Primal and Megs. The Primal kinda makes me want to get him early, because I like the no mouth version better, but I still think pass for now.

Ugh! THey need to give these tired molds a rest. If they want to push beasts, they ought to bring out figures not everyone has like Rattrap, Terrorsaur, some TMs, or Japanese releases like Sharp Edge, Stampy, etc.

I tend to agree thoughtcrime. And I still don't understand why this hasn't made some kind of news, what with every scrap of movie info being frontpaged.
