Youtube video: ULTIMATE DOTM SHOCKWAVE - YouTube

Hey everyone, took a break from my school work to show off my latest creation. This guy is actually for me. After making a few Leader Shockwave's I decided I had to make one for myself. Especially cause each one I made was more and more difficult to let go!!!

So I took some inspiration from Encline Designs on his paint scheme with shades of steel and silver then some light touches of purple and blue for a scorched steel look and finished him off with alittle mist of HOK prizm shift. You can't really see the color shift till the light hits it just right which is what I wanted, i didn't want it to be too in your face with the color shift. I sealed him with the Alclad Aqua Gloss and I got to say it's one of my favorite clears now. This stuff really brings colors out and helps protect them. I can't scrap the paint even digging at it with my finger nail!!!

Forgive me I had to update as I forgot to give some credit where credit is certainly due. The Head, Ribcage and Sword were cast by a good friend "Arteloko customs" and the hand and gunbelt is from "Ariel Customs" on Shapeways.com and ofcourse I can't help but mention the man "Encline Designs" who I drew alot of the paint scheme inspiration from. "Encline" has really influenced me with paint application and technique.
    I hope you all enjoy!

No I didn't cast the head, ribcage and sword. I forgot to put that in the description. The those were all cast for me by a good friend "arteloko customs"

The hand was done by Fakebuster at shapeways.com everything else I did.

It is fun but requires alot of patience, planning, doing, re-doing and a few months before completion.

I don't remember exactly how long it took me to do this guy, somewhere between 2 and 3 months. If I didn't have college work I am sure I could have had it done sooner. But with a project like this its best to go slow as you will plan on doing something a certain way and 2 weeks later have an Epiphany on how to do it even better.

This is really gorgeous work, and thanks for the call-out!
I like how you made his silhouette monstrous like the official DOTM artwork. Sweet work, mate.
