that looks really cool actually... almost makes me want to pick it up now... almost...
So with the suit separated, is the trailer still complete with top, bottom, and sides? If so, I'm gonna follow suit and buy this.
Pure Epicness. I envy you
This looks very good
If you do make it a suit for leader optimus, I think it'd be very nice, although, the trailer might be a little too small to work with him...
Snapped some comparison pics. You can see the leader class is the clear winner here, especially from the front view. Definitely going to make him a suit and use ultimate optimus for spare parts. I haven't been this excited about a project for a long time!
Also, the trailer DOES still need a floor and it does not hold together solidly as is! Not sure what I'm going to use for a floor, but I'll definitely make a slide out ramp, too, or maybe just a fold down.
You have no idea how much better a silver sharpie makes that truck mode look on the wheels.
hmm, I'd say you could get some spare leader class wheels for the trailer and it'd work ok, but it WAS a huge trailer too, so, the ultra size truck is less off than it'd seem at first.
This custom seems different from what you're going for but maybe it can help:

nicely done, i finally actually got this figure (got it at a cheeeeaap price).. and have been looking to do something like this by taking the armor from the trailer~ maybe even making his legs more articulated...
good job here!
Did you notice they gave his foot/shin pivot articulation so his toes can point outward? I never saw anyone use it, so I assume it's a secret. I'm just going to ball joint the ankle, though.
Which parts have to be soldering off?
Update. Pictures really speak for themselves.
Yes they do.
Very impressive to see leader figures inside the trailer.
Anyone have a recommendation for about 5"x12" of plastic to make the trailer floor?
Only thing I can think of is cutting up a model flatbed like in the video I linked to before:
Made a floor out of Battleship boards. Did a lot of work on the trailer, it's solid and transformable now. Need a slide out ramp, wheels, some struts to hold the side up when it's open, and maybe some repair drone. The ultimate armor is coming along, looks like it will still fit in the trailer, whew.
