Hey all, So So, I absolutely love the Ultimate Prime toy, regardless of its massive shortcomings in regards to screen accuracy. Another problem I had was it was fucking bland looking, and was mostly flat grey plastic, missing most of the red and blue panel details, and the underside of everything was simply unpainted. Since I primarily bought it to display in truck mode, I wanted to make it at least look a little prettier that way. I started by just hitting the rims of the truck with a silver Sharpie, but it was too big to fit in all the cracks and crevices (that's what she said) , so I went back last week and hit them again with silver paint. While doing that, I decided that I really hated that brown plastic used all over the toy as well, so I painted all of that silver, too. But then THAT all didn't match the unpainted grey plastic, and well, it kind of snowballed from there. HASBRO STOCK VERSION: AND NOW A PIG WEARING LIPSTICK: FINISHED ROBOT MODE: TRUCK MODE HASBRO STOCK VERSION: MY VERSION: The blue looks much lighter in the pics, but is an almost perfect match in person. Overall, I'm very happy with the way this turned out, even though most of my work will be invisible since it's in truck mode 99% of the time. But that grill looks SWEET. In fact, the grill is probably the most successful part IMO. The paint went on nice and smooth, and it just shines. I still want to cover all the shit-brown plastic on the armor as well, but otherwise I'll leave the trailer alone until I can figure out how to paint it all shiny and get that blue stripe around the outside frame of it.
