I dont know if this is worthy or not, but when I got off of work last night at 230 am, I stoppd by my 24 hour super center wal-mart for some power steering fluid, stopped near the toy section on the way, and they had a 3 pallet display of transformers, the exclusive 3 pack of Bumblebee variations, robo-stompers, Premium Blackout, Ironhide, Reg. Prime, and Ultimate Bumblebee for $35, I grabbed one with out a second thought, so glad I waited for this, instead of spending around $100 like so many others, had I paid near that I wouldnt have been happy, but for $35, it's almost a steal! Happy hunting!
that's awesome. i kinda wanted him when he came out, but like you I didn't pay it. so maybe i'll come across him at my local wal mart, doubtful.
That's two different sightings of the $35.00 Bumblebee. I'm guessing this is nationwide thing then. So, all of our Wal-Marts might be having these. If so, I'm there. I'm willing to pay $35.00, not $80.00
Agreed! I actually received on of these for Christmas, but didn't want to open it. If these show up in my area, I'm completely all over it!
I took the plunge and bought him. I can honestly see why they had to charge so much. (The electronics and how they work...awesome.) I can honestly say that if I had bought him at full price, I'd have had the worst case of buyer's remorse ever...and he would've been returned in a heartbeat. I can barely stomach $35.00 for this guy. (sounds bad, I know, but I think much higher of the figure than it sounds. Kinda hard to explain...)
man,i got Ultimate Bumblebee when he first came out.. $80 i think it was..anyways im so disappointed with him..
I love Ultimate Bee, I got mine over a year ago now and he has always had pride of place in my display, I gather from reviews that he is a toy you either love or hate.
I picked it up for $35 jsut the other day. I shot pics of it to compare it to my 1:12 Roadbot Ford GT. Ultimate Movie Bumblebee $35 Walmart vs 1:12 Ford Gt Roadbot | Toy ******
Not entirely true. I've been able to find a gray area/middle ground, if you will. Robot mode: Very solid, almost to the point of being an electronic statue. Poseability is hindered by said electronics. the legs have movement problems due to being stuck against that massive battery pack. Repeats the same damn songs and phrases over and over and over. Features trigger at the drop of a hat. On the flip side: He looks good, he's sturdy as can be, the electronics are well worth the $35.00, and while it's an impressive array of features, they're not worth $80.00. All in all, once you get the hang of him, he can be fun to tinker with, and he shows promise for more ideas like this, but he's far from perfect and the negatives can be a royal pain. I like him, don't love him, but I certainly don't hate him. That's why I'm keeping him.
My Walmart had a 4 pallet display. Ultimate Bumblebee, Animated, BB 3 pack, Movie Voyagers and more. Even saw an animated Blitzwing!
