I've been wanting a new television with all the fancy 1080s and whathaveyou, but I ran into one of these at CostCo. 81 games from the greatest generation. A generation when we would pile into arcades after school and try our damndest to get as far as we could on 1 or 2 quarters. What do you think, fancy new tv or ancient games? The future or the past?

As much fun as most of those games are, I'd go with the new TV.

Honestly, you could "aquire" most of those games on your PC, and get a nice joystick to play them with. Still, nothing beats playing them on a cabinet like that.

You could build your own multi-game cabinet out of an old 486 and some parts off of ebay for a hundred bucks.

It seems like a daunting task, but there are very detailed how-tos online.

I'm too lazy or otherwise...well, just lazy, to build anything. I needs instant gratification!

There are some badass games in that cabinet, and it would be really cool to have, but a nice tv would be even cooler. You'll use the tv way more in the long run.
