Since we're practically in September now aren't we, may as well get it moving again. Actually the longer lead time means I can do this without it being such a mad rush!

So, open call for 2017 Calendar shots! Same as last year, UKTD thread regulars submit what you think it your best Landscape picture (or two portrait pics) of 2016.

I have picture slots for 12 calendar months, a cover and a centre poster, so enough space for 14 pics in all. I've saved a few pics from the thread so far, and here's what I've got so far...

    Trash by Glaug,
    [IMG]

    Dryl's race pic,
    [IMG]

    Maz's Ravage,
    [IMG]

    Stevil33's custom Seekers.

I also want to put in Scubaboys Ironhaaaade airpunching Cybershark! But he's not given me a high res version yet.

I do believe my own HT Optimus makes the grade, (although I might drop this in favour of the slightly updated Skullcruncher pic)...

I really like my TR Blurr pic too, but since it's pretty much just someone elses pic with Blurr added in... eh. Not eligible.

These pics are ones I've saved, but if you don't want to feature in the calendar, just say so and I'll pull it. Annnnnyway. Give us your favourite pic and it'll go into a pile! If it doesn't make it into the calendar don't be upset, lots of people take awesome shots in this thread!

For those of you who have no idea what the hell I'm on about, in January I did a calendar consisting of the best pictures (of 2015) that the threadizens of the UKTD thread submitted! I put everything together, got them printed and sold them to whoever wanted them at cost.

Let's make it a bigger success this year!

Kit mate, have you already decided on the Ravage pic from me? Can I submit an alternative and then you can choose which you prefer as well?

    All the best

Nothing is decided at all mate. Not even my own pics. Plus for all I know people will submit stonking pics over the next few months that will kick the crap outta anything so far!

Plus if it's the pic you want to submit over another of yours, I'd go with your preference anyway. It's meant to be our calendar, not mine.

I did save another pic of yours too, the MP group shot!

I omitted it for some reason, even though it's in the same folder on my PC. See what kind of slipshod operation this is?

Oh ha awesome! I'll chuck one or two more at you this evening.

Also, I'm definitely a fan of that Skullsmasher pic over the Hot Toys Prime :)

    All the best

I'd request a pic from napalm or Stevil of OSKOEOP - especially as he's a figure that has come in for much love this year.

Don't see why not, it all depends on what else gets submitted! IE, not too many pics of the same thing.

I'll throw these in too, they may be the highest res versions I have of them though.

Oh God, I am going to be supremely bad at picking one photo... gah. Might need some help. Here's some that I quickly went through from the last few months or so and quite like. :)

Hope this doesn't come across as spamming... just extraordinarily bad at stuff like this and not particularly objective. I also take a lot of photos it seems.

I have been through all the photos I took this year so far and... I can find a single one I like and would want to submit. Still, at least there is a few more months until year end.

Pete, that's utter madness. There are literally tons of your photos that are calendar-worthy, mate. Hope you don't mind, but here's a couple of my faves. :)

Cheers guys... I suppose the matrix shot is probably the best of the bunch. I still don't think I have done anything outstanding this year though. My challenge for the next couple of months is to nail the calendar shot. Not sure how I will do it, but it's worth having a goal right?

Cheer dude, not sure I've got any good enough though, I'll take a look :)

I'm not surprised you struggled to find one, such beautiful pics!!
I couldn't pic just one from you selection either, you might need your own calendar dude!

Pete - you're welcome. I do honestly think that Hot Rod pic is something else.

Steve - some great ones! I love your Stealth Sphinx but I may have to vote for Shockwave's pimp slap, just for the story behind it. :lol

    Calendar Update!

I do believe I've settled on my layouts, 1987 Masters packaging (basically the same as last year, but tweaked and refined a bit) and the 1990 Action Master packaging.

The Action Master background is not an exact replica, stuff has been moved/reversed in order to keep the calender as a functional thing.

Also, the flick book animation will be twice as big as last year, no more squinting.

My only quibble that I can see is with the Action Master backgrounds the month title will partly cover October 31st. It's the only time it'll happen though, so I guess I'll just have to live with it.

    Comments feedback appreciated!

    Edit
Oh, and don't forget date suggestions! Thread Regulars can have their Birthdays put in there as well, as well as other special dates (For instance, '28 July: Joetele Buys MP10'.

For this calendar I'd love to see the Actionmaster theme used. It's just such a great idea and well executed, and we had Masters for this year's calendar, so I'd love to see it evolve :)

    All the best
