Hey all i'm fairly new to customising transformers and i'm looking for some recommendations on supplies as my budget is limited and cant afford trial and error. I'll list what i thought would be needed and if we could share tips on what we use/ recommend and perhaps where buy from?

Paints - games workshop paints, ttried tamiya ones but dont like
primer - games workshop army primer
panel lining pen - tried stadler fineliner waa good at first but nib doesnt laat long
sealer - dont know which to use
parts - mainly junker tf's and gundams, see people talking about model kit hands but wouldnt even know where to start looking for these

my main supply point is hobbycraft and gamesworkshop dont know of other stores to try.

All recommendations would be gladly appreciatdd

specialist shops selling radio controlled cars and airfix kits are your friend.

they'll do all sorts of bits and pieces, styrene, acrylic dowel, tiny metal tubing, you'll be able to get the super-fine white milliput, tools, teeny weeny screws.

they might even be able to order you bits of other kits they don't sell in from their suppliers too.

Try B+Q for plastikote spray paints, i have used these to great effect and comes in loads of colours, also there is a seller on ebay UK that sells krylon camoflauge flat black paint - this paint is absolute GOLD and so many uses plus its tough as old boots and doesnt scratch or chip easy!

    hope this helps
