Aww, that plain blows. I don't really want to blow the extra money on an imported toy, so i reckon I'll just follow McFeely's lead and buy The Arrival TPB; the whole appeal of that comic series to me is the cartoon-faithful feel of Marty Isenberg's writing, so I'm not going to be content with this bowdlerised version. Translations are fine, but why they couldn't leave the English intact is beyond me...still, the hunt for the toy itself remains on. :)

    great, they butchered the text.

why they have to put several languages in one comic is beyond me, if they were going to do that surely they could have just printed it 3 times separately in the same booklet with decent translation instead of summarising it all :(

Tescos and Smyths yielded nothing - but I'm told the tag for them was on the shelf at the nearest Asda! I can smell 'em! :D

Yeah, it'll be in there, according to the solicitations. The story was originally supposed to be in the sixth issue of "The Arrival", but it was cancelled because it would have wound up being release before the toys (hence, the toy packaging claim of an "exclusive" comic would be a filthy, filthy lie). But they're going to include it in the trade paperback collection nonetheless.

they are quite meh actually. Not to spoil the excitement but I do feel that they are the weakest of the animated figures

So, the excuse of not getting The Arrival #6 is then crapped around by the comic packed in with those figures being cacked about with for the UK version? Not that I actually want these figures, but it's just another poke in the balls for anyone that was going to buy them to get the missing issue if they didn't want to re-buy all the issues they already paid out for by having to get the TPB.
Where's my 'banging head against a wall' emoticon?

Oh well, at least this shows we're still getting new Animated toys here in Blighty (even if it's the ugly twins there and not Magnus in his proper colours), although to look in my local Asda you'd think we were still back in last June what with Prowls and Lockdowns and Cybertron Mode Optimus Primes that have been sitting on the shelves for a while now.

About slaggin' time. Well, I know where I'm headed tonight. I must admit I'm not really up for these figures, my main reason was the comic book, and now that's been butchered. But to be honest, the wait for new toys has been so long, I can't help myself. Maybe the uk distribution folks do know what they're doing after all...
