This isn't a sighting, but I thought it would be interesting for everyone to know.

    HasbroToyShop.co.uk has ceased trading

HTS has ceased trading. Looks like the volume of orders wasn't enough to justify having their own shop.

So that puts the number of online shops to buy Transformers in the UK down to about...3, maybe? (Play, Amazon and Kapow being the only ones I know of.)

Yeah, but they're free postage to the uk so it doesn't make much difference.

Does if you're planning to order enough to incur customs charges.

Someone ALWAYS pops up and says that whenever customs charges are mentioned. But they happen, and people do get charged.

If HTS had bothered carrying exclusives or being cheaper than other retailers, I'd have ordered from them.

I would have bought from HTS but £5 for shipping is just a rip-off

Yeah, I have him, I paid full Japanese retail plus hipping plus customs for mine when he came out and he's worth every penny. Be aware that he is more of a display piece then a toy, his transformation is almost infamous but well worth mastering.

Postage was free if you spent £25 or more. I was just looking at the store last night cos I can't find Ironhide and Sideswipe anywhere near me, they had hide but no swipe hence no free postage so I didn't bite.

Pretty much this, tbh. HTS didn't offer anything over Amazon/Play/the high street that tempted me to shop with them.

The only time I've ordered from HTS was during that big sale that they had before Christmas.

I've just heard some great news for Transformer collectors in Fife (i think there are a few from Dunfermlne on here). We are finally getting a TRU.

Retail giants set for Kirkcaldy - Fife Today

I live just 6 miles from the town where they're planning on building it, so I'm very happy about this news as the current closest TRU is a 50+ mile round trip.
