All credit to unitedbot on this one, he did the legwork :)

Email from the UK brand manager :)  The highlight obviously is the Grimlock confirmation, but he confirms we won't be getting Arcee or Cybertron mode Ratchet.

    Anyone want to take a guess on Grimlock's price? £50, £60, £70 or £80?

Lack of the Animated exlcusives, I may not like, but I can understand.

No NEST Voyagers, on the other hand, FUCKS ME RIGHT OFF. :mad

Oh well, importing time again. It's actually nice to get confirmation of what we won't be getting so I know which to grab on import before they vanish or helf in price.

Still, at least we'll get Grimlock. Pity he probably won't be as good a price as Argos offered MP Skywarp.

I'm stunned you got such a comprehensive response.

Irritation about product availability aside, kudos to Hasbro UK on the customer service.

Yep, thats the probably going to be the price, and with TRU's general lack of discounting when it comes to sales on high priced items, it will probably shelf warm. I'm only saying this while thinking of MP Prime, 'Ultimate' Bumblebee and ROTF Devastator.

No ANimated Arcee Or Ratchet for the uk!!!!!

    WHAT!!!

    Lame.

If I said what I wanted to say the moderators whould have to burn the entire forum for the use of bad language.

Yet again the UK gets royally shafted on the release front. We already pay twice the retail as the US Can't you cut us just a little slack.

I really don't get the stratagy of the brand managers in the UK.

They have product made it just needs to be shipped to the uk location. ITS NOT HARD. for gods sake when companies like Toys r us and Asda are buying entire container loads of product - fill out any left over space with these items...they won't always fill containers just say 'Hey you mind if we use the extra space in that container coming your way'

ANd the UK doesn't even have an online store any more.

Hey hasbro reps heres an idea, why not make a online COLLECTORS portal to sell product in the same way Mattel does with mattycollector.com that way you keep everyone happy and can charge a high price for the exclusive product...it could even be done on the cheap via amazon

Interestingly, if we're not getting the NEST voyagers, I wonder what this bodes for later lines such as the Hunt For The Decepticons. Will we get Seaspray etc.?

Once again taking the risk of stating the obvious, the remaining new Animated molds are probably going to be TRU exclusives as well.

...so they're probably not going to pop up at TRU in the UK either.

They were always a weak prospect.

That said: Where did TRU UK Source Samurai Prowl and Waspinator from?

No nest Voyagers may also mean no Mindwipe.

Funny how they're skipping Voyagers, but Delxues are getting a price increase.

It may also set an unpleasant precident for new Leader Figures.

Well at least Grimlock is getting a look in, but otherwise it feels like we've gone back to circa 2000... over ordered toys rotting on shelves, tail end ones being skipped.

I Will Gladly Help Any Blokes Across The Pond Get These Figures!

I think this blows chunks that yall limey people aren't able to get these figures. I'll hunt down any figures yall might need. It'd be only the cost of the figure plus S&H - if you'd want to be a gent and throw me like $2-$3 for petrol that'd be fine too. This is not a sale advert - this is one Transfan trying to help another.

We got the bone in the early nineties when yall got the Predators and Turbomasters. With the internet and the fan community as large as it is now, I see no reason why we can't help each other fill in the holes of product distribution.

    Cheers.

    What a load of crap.

So I'm going to be importing most of the ROTF toys I want then except for two deluxes and a few scouts.

    SIGH.

I do hope the traders at AA get a pile of US stock in.

I also dread to think how much TRU will charge for Grimlock, considering how they still didn't get the hint that 20th Prime wasn't going to sell at full price despite clogging shelves for months.

    Ebay:
I stopped buying Transformers from regular UK toy stores years ago. So many of the toys get released either months later than in the US or not at all. Costs a little more unfortunatly but I get most of my TFs from a specialist shop that imports them as soon as they are out in the US. The shop is always full of adult collectors and children with their parents too so the UK retailers are missing out alot due to being so far behind which then must effect UK sales figures and maybe makes the major retailers less inclined to get new TFs in quicker. Bit of a vicious downward spiral.
Same problem with alot of UK DVD releases of TV shows too. They take so long to release some DVDs and then release them with only a few eps of a TV show on each disk so alot of people get US DVDs imported instead as they come out alot earlier and in larger box sets so you dont have to buy dozens of DVDs to get a whole series. This seems to be what happened with the TF animated and Cybertron series. Then because the DVDs in the UK dont sell well they end up not releasing the whole series which makes even more people decide to turn to US disks in the first place.
