I normally just say to them "can I get a view, what I am looking for is a green jeep and a purple spaceship". Saves them the hassle of having to bring the whole lot out if you tell them what are happen to be looking for.

I see good and bad news here. New Universe and Animated toys = woo!   Price hike now hitting Animated = boo.   Still, though...this catalogue is coming Saturday? Does that mean that the advertised stock will be arriving on Saturday with it, or are the two not necessarily linked? I do hope they are...I still have some Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket that's just screaming to be spent on an Animated Swindle.

Every Argos I heard of only got 1 figure from each size class, and no Ultras on day 1.

Boy was I dissapointed. Hoping to grab Thundercracker, Landmine and Dirtboss, ending up with Snarl and Crumplezone.

 

Bah, as I thought. Oh well, I might head down there anyway; I doubt they'll have anything, but I figure that if I make a loud enough stink about false advertising and the Trade Descriptions Act I might at least be able to walk out with some kind of compensatory payout. Wish me luck!

 

jees, i know its not all things equal but 13 pounds seems like sooo much more expensive than the $10 in the USA for a delux, target and walmart are selling animated deluxes for $8 or so with tax.

We do get screwed compared to your neck of the woods. Although we still get off lightly compared to some I suppose.

 

When will the new toys available?

Right now its says that the product code is not recognised by the online store checker.

 

The in-store ones are the only ones new codes will tend to work on if I remember rightly. When classics came out the Optimus/Megatron 2-pack never came up on the website but was in the shop checkers, where I got mine early   same happened with the movie voyagers I think.
Unless they've changed policy I'm afraid you will actually go down there.

Six and a half quid for Activators? I wonder if Sainsburys will continue to sell theirs at £2.99? I know where I'll be shopping if they do.
But if the price of Animated is now going up everywhere I'll be cutting right down on my spending. Pity really as my Animated collection was doing rather nicely.

 

All i collect is animated. well those and the universe poor kids toys...

So £12 whatever for a deluxe just doesn't feel right to me, especially when i've brought so many voyagers for less then that...

The only figure i brought for that price was tankor when i started collecting due to lack of animated stuff that i wanted in argos and he just looked cool  

 

When Tescos are still selling their Voyagers for just under a tenner it leaves a bad taste to pay £13 for a deluxe.

 

Tried an Argos extra today, the code for the legends pack worked, but said they were out of stock, did a view and no sign of Inferno, they were fully stocked of the repaint voyagers though, may toake something to shift though.
