Well, at least we know the soundtrack to the movie will suck, lol. Bay has done awesome so far, why couldn't he have used maybe a completely orchestral score for the movie?

We don't really need "What I done" or "Random lame acoustic emotional Song" by googoo dolls in the movie, do we?

The movie will definitely still rock - the sountrack though... yeesh.

There will be too many explosions and screaming to hear any music anyways.

    VERY true, good point.

The trailer that was recently released made me crap my pants, it was awesome.. But I don't really see the need for a currently-being-overplayed crappy radio song to be in it.

All big budget movies have both a score and a soundtrack. I'm sure you will be able to purchase either one.

I like Linkin Park. Infact while I was watching the trailer I was hoping the song would kick into full gear for some reason. Oh well. Goo Dolls song=meh.

I can see why people wouldn't like it, but, I personally do like it.

I've never been a Goo Goo Dolls fan, and having just heard the single I can safely say that this will not change any time soon.

Linkin Park is going to be doing a song? Did I miss a news thread somewhere or just wasn't paying enough attention to the trailer? Hopefully, whatever they contribute won't be anything like the crap on that godawful "Minutes to Midnight" album.

EDIT - "What I've Done" is the Linkin Park tune? That was one of the only tolerable songs off "Minutes to Midnight", but would have preferred one of their older/better tracks.

For everyone panicking over the songs, I would ask how many of the songs from the recent Spider-Man 3 soundtrack actually made it into that film? A lot of this stuff is going to end up on the "inspired by" end of things, played over the credits or very briefly in the movie, at most.

    man, grow up.

you could have voiced your opinions without the immaturity.

this has already become a flamefest on your behalf

Linkin Park's song "what i've done" is in the new trailer, its at the very beginning

    Pfft...

These bands on the radio today all suck if you ask me...They are all cookie cutter rip offs of each other...They probably don't know the first thing about music theory and unfortunately the listening public only get the "hooks" of the three chord tunes( I call em the peoples chords I IV V or I III V) on the radio...Deeper music is to hard to humm too I guess.... but to each hs own..it just disheartens me that so many crap bands make it...while virtuistic musicians that actually have talent can't catch a break because it isn't commercial enough or it causes people to think to much..and we wouldn't want that when we could have the mind numbing songs that all sound the same and never venture into more than one key..

I say we get some Dream Theater...or Satriani or Vai..Iced Earth or maybe some Pagans Mind in there for some truly epic metal...

    No lame bands please...

But I digress...This movie will still rock but not because of the soundtrack...
