Just thought I would throw that out there... Wish I could have gotten into the detolf ring when I had the money, but ikea didn't have them then, :( . Oh well, hopefully soon.

dude I know the feeling.... when you have 100+ figures and it's time to clean.. it's a damn chore! I clean my shelves every week and sometimes it's fun as you get a chance to mess around and handle all your figures, but the drill can get some what overwhelming..

Yeah, dusting sucks. I don't display anything that isn't behind glass.

My glass display cases cut down on the dust significant;y, but it still accumulates as they aren't anywhere close to airtight. Better than nothing for sure! Don't really want to tackle cleaning them atm though.

That's why I've put all of my TFs into Rubbermaid tubs to keep them from getting dusty. I don't have any display cases with glass doors, nor do I have proper space in my room for such cases.

So until then, mine stay in Rubbermaid tubs, because seriously... I just don't have a lot of time to dust 100+ Transformers.

My case has built in seals on both sides that keep all the dust out. Never had to dust in that thing and the figures are still dust free a year later. Invested like $500 in it, but was well worth it to me.

My wife bought me my cases for Christmas (last year) and they were a major upgrade over the plastic shelves I had - also not cheap. That said, they're more of a display you'd see at a retail store (sliding glass w/ a lock at the bottom). I had more than they could comfortably hold when she got them and that is even more the case now. When we move into a larger home in a few years, I'm going to get (or have built - not sure) some new cases that are close to airtight w/ some display lighting that can house my collection. Until then...cramped shelves, dust, and some stuff not on display will just have to suffice! That said, I've got portions of the grand vision I'm collecting towards, knowing that one day, I'll be able to display it like it is my head:)

Man I absolutely hate dusting. I did my Alts/Binaltech/Alternity shelves the other day - & what a mess that was. A few hours of my life gone & what do I have to show for it? Clean TFs :lol . It's like banging your head against a brick wall. I really need to dust my Classics-verse & BW shelves and I'm absolutely dreading the thought of doing it... :/

My Binaltechs agree, they spent 3.5 years in a 400 year old house, the combination of dust from living in the countryside and slight damp from an old building, means the stuff is caked on a couple of mil thick. Dusting won't help, they need a wash!

It can definitely be a nightmare. Between all my Transformers and Star Wars figures/vehicles it can take a while. I usually only dust when I rearrange things, which it's too often.

The worst of it is what's hanging from the ceiling. Oh man, you should see the dust that gathers on that stuff.

Did dusting about a year or two ago on my Primes. Really annoying, and I ended up taking off some of the chrome from RID Prime's chest Autobot symbol :(  Recently put them behind a glass shelf which has helped immensely.
