Well, he was talking about this at Botcon, but the story is actually about how as of issue #3, Tyrese is distributing the comic digitally.

Frankly, it looks like he just copied the mask of Frankenstein from his Death Race remake and put it on himself, not very original.

I think looks is everything when you are trying to get people interested in your hero, and Mayhem is pretty meh in that department. Pass.

I predict it won't last to issue #12.

For someone that ostensibly loves comics, it sure does look like a cliched pile of crap.

"the title character, a masked, dagger-hurling hero described as the 'embodiment of raw justice and vengeance.'"

"Although he would not provide details on sales figures, he did say that worldwide sales of 'Mayhem' would 'knock your socks off.'"

Translation: not even a blip compared to good-selling books.

"It was the first time I was ever exposed to that much selfless passion, to the point to where you don't care how silly you may look -- you don't even consider it silly. ..."

Says the man who plays make-believe for a living.

"Me and my partner Mike Lee and Will Wilson all got together, we started brainstorming about different concepts and different directions we could send this character in and we came up with something pretty unique."

    No. No you didn't.

"I dealt with a lot of that from certain folks in the comic book world. ... They wrote these long e-mails and [started] on a smear campaign."

Or...maybe you produced crap and they're being honest.
