    What?!?! Holy crap this sucks! I've been listening to Type O Negative for about 15 years now. It was one of my goals to catch them live. Guess I've missed my chance.

    I got my wife into Type O. Then we drove from DC to PA twice to see them and then again in DC. Good shows.

    Do you have the DVDs? If not, get them. Watch them and then watch again for the commentary. FUNNY AS SHIT!

    The years on the road really weren't good too him. I saw an interview with him after Type O left Roadrunner. He really looked like shit/15 miles of bad road/half dead (pick your metaphore). So this really doesn't surprise me.

    I think he battled with depression for a significant part of his life.

    Whether you liked, disliked, or were indifferent to TON, it was hard not to take notice of him.

    That really fucking sucks. Type-O is one of my all time favorite bands. RIP Peter. :cry

    It is truly a sad day. The man shall be missed. It is especially sad for me because I drank beers with him back when Lamores in Brooklyn was still around. It was a dying fetus show and he was there with his girl. me and three of my friends all like 16 at the time sat and he used our money to pay for beers for us and we hung out. So it is really messed up because I drank with him and he is gone.

    his voice was one i never wanted to hear in the dark, that's for sure.
    and damn, add to it he was naturally tall, i wouldn't want to run into him in the dark.

    that doesn't mean i was leery of him. just sayin he could do a job on you around Halloween.

    so sorry he has passed and so young.

    I know I already posted here but I just cant get over this. I dont know what it is but I feel like a family member has passed. I have spent so many hours just sitting and listening to TypeO and reading along with the lyrics. He will truley be missed and never forgotten.

    I never got to see TON live, I've been listening to these guys for well over ten years now and always got every new album as they were released. This is really sad, and even more ironic cause Peter Steele has apparently been sober for quite awhile. This is a very sad day. Goodbye Peter, you will definitely be missed, more than you thought you would be I'm sure.
