How many times did you see Dark of the Moon? I saw it four times in theaters; twice in 2D and twice in 3D. Here is a picture of my ticket stubs; one of them is a ticket for Horrible Bosses, but I skipped Horrible Bosses and walked into the auditorium next to it, in which Transformers DOTM was being shown. Did anyone notice that Dark of the Moon reused sound clips from the previous two films? For example, the sound that one of the Dreads makes when he jumps over the highway sign is the same sound Bonecrusher makes when he transforms on the highway in the first film; it sounds something like "D-MAN!". Also, when Sentinel Prime is fighting Optimus and transforms into his vehicle mode, he makes the same sound that Megatron makes in ROTF when he's blasted through a wall by Optimus, losing part of his head in the process. Megatron also makes this sound again, when he's killed by Optimus at the end of DOTM. I can't really describe this sound. EDIT: How the heck does Megatron pick up anything with his hands in the first two films? They look like unorganized, thin strips of scrap metal.
4 times in 3D Yes I noticed. I didn't mind it, and even liked that they nodded to their previous works. Oh, and the description for Crowbar & Bonecrusher's sound sounded like "That's it, Priiiime!". Also: the sound that Megatron & Sentinel used sounded like "BROTHERRRR!" (don't know why they'd use it for Sentinel tho )
I saw it once in 3D. And I didn't recognise the reused sound. I heard Bay reused clips from some of his previous films.
Iv'e Seen Dark of the moon 5 times 4 in IMAX 3D and 1 in regular yeah I think I heard the same sound but it doesn't bother me at all
I saw it twice. And I don't recall any reused sounds. I'm usually good at pointing those sorts of things out too.
I just added a third question concerning Megatron's hands. How does he pick up anything with them? They don't even look like hands.
