Do you think it was better off that Wheeljack died at the end? Since there are no more Decepticons, Wheeljack does not have to make anymore Mech Tech Weapons. You think one armed Optimus is permanent? I know for broken lims, but he's a robot and they still have Ratchet the medical officer.
No poll? Question 1 - Illogical, unless ALL he could do was make weapons. Either way, he's dead and it doesn't really matter. Question 2 - Also illogical. The TF's can be repaired pretty easily. Starscream had his arm ripped off in RotF, and he reattached it himself.
Wheeljack didn't just invent weapons. It's not like after the war that he would no longer serve any relevant purpose that warranted his death. If he had lived, I imagine that he would go on inventing anything that would help his fellow bots and human allies. Like the U.S military, or heck, maybe even things that would help every day citizens.
Wouldn't there still be the hundreds scattered in space and Earth? Never showed them getting put away.
Your thread title was enough of a spoiler warning. And at this point, if people are waiting for the DVD they shouldn't be on the Movie forum to begin with. As far as Optimus Prime arm goes, it will be reattached and working just fine in TF4, although it would be kinda cool for him to have some sort of limited use of it, like a permanent injury.
i wanted mirage to die. not because im a fanboy but because it would have been a fight. not a pity party. it was a damn good pity party though. one of the best deaths in the trilogy.
Anyway, there must be some Cybertronians left scattered in space. I highly doubt all that is left from them is 4 Autobots or so...there must be more somewhere...and anyway, TF4 if ever comes out, will have more Cybertronians appear just like that, Autobots and Decepticons.
Remember Bumblebee in TF1 when he got his legs blown off? Also like someone said, Starscream got his arm chopped off and it was back on 5 minutes later and functioned perfectly. In the desert fight of ROTF, Ironhide had a gaping, flaming hole in his chest. He lived and got his stuff back together in DOTM. So pretty much what I'm saying is, yes Optimus can easily get his arm back on. As far as Wheeljack dying, just because the war is over doesn't mean that a life isn't worth anything. That's like saying that all of the factory workers assembling weapons at the end of WWII and all of the others might as well have been dead after the war ended.
They noted that there were 200+ Decepticons scattered around the globe after Sentinel brought them through in DC. Also not every Decepticon was in Chicago at the final battle, as they had to release the Pillars around the world. There's still gonna be Decepticons for the Autobots to fight, just not the "big-names" like MEgatron adn Starscream. Bumblebee got both of his legs blown off during the Mission City battle in TF07. They can put Optimus' arm back on.
I would have prefered Dino's death over Wheeljack, Dino is basically another Sideswipe copy. Wheeljack could have invented the flux capciator and went back in time to save his race. Damnit BAY!
I love WheelJaQ and all, but Im glad he got Killed to be honest. It made the Decepticons look more menacing, evil and just plain merciless. I just wish the Decepticons had killed a few more Autobots, just to level the balance of Main Characters More. Oh Well, DOTM didn't dissapoint me, Im Good.
It's so cute when you guys try to insist there'll be a reboot when multiple sources as well as common sense confirm otherwise. Also, there is absolutely no way Optimus will be one armed in TF4.
I agree. The way I see it, those barking for a reboot are simply grasping at straws in the deluded belief that it will magically set right everything that was wrong, or give them what they wanted but never got from Bay's trilogy.
