...the guessing game begins.
Dreamcast? Sega Master System? Atari 7800? Atari Jaguar? 3D0? :dunno:
I would think some of the Dreamcast games would be too big unless you can use a SD card or external memory device, although I would love an update that would allow an external hard drive to work. My guesses are Gameboy (could include original, Color, and Advanced) and Master System.
I'd love a GBA and back selection! a dreamcast one would be cool too, but damnit Nintendo has go to update their firmware to allow for better storage options.
Not having the Gameboy library is a crime. Nintendo should have added it already. Why they haven't is a big mystery. There are so many great games for it like Pokémon, Mario Land, the various Zelda games, Castlevania, the Advanced Wars series and the ones before it, and a whole list of others.
One thing they should do is release all the versions of Pokémon but make them compatible with the DS and future games somehow. That alone would sell millions. Pokémon is just like the DS and Wii, a license for Nintendo to print money.
there is precedent, the newest pokemon on there has some small wii functionality added into it from what I've read.
I'd be happy if the firmware would just be updated to allow direct access to the SD card instead of copying back and fourth between SD and internal. It certainly would be necessary to directly access external memory if a hard drive comes along later.
For the virtual console I doubt Dreamcast. The games were just too big, unless they somehow added direct support for Dreamcast discs which seems highly unlikely.
My guess is something else Nintendo or Something else Sega.
I'm thinking the best candidates. Master System (and Game gear since they're almost the same hardware), Sega CD, or gameboy/color. I don't think they'd do advance so soon with the advance still on the market, even if it is likely in its last year. (but we've been saying that since 04 when the DS came out and the advance is still going.)
Personally I'd most like some Atari 2600 5200 and 7200.
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl could communicate with Pokémon Revolution for Wii using Wifi so yes it is possible to do that. The Pal Park in D/P would probably be used so it would be a one way transfer but I would like to see a way to transfer them back or better yet a way to use the Pokémon from lets say Diamond in Red or Gold. Just a thought and probably unlikely but it would be cool and I would be tempted to buy them again just for that.
My money's on Master System and Game Boy.
We stopped selling Advances at work a few months ago, and Nintendo's website doesn't make mention of it. Nintendo's website even lists it as an older system. I think it's pretty much done with.
me too, stuff in stores are just remnants... besides, they could still have the channel and just start with older GB system games for it.
I'm on the hunt for some GBA games. Hard as fuck to find. Especially the gems (Golden Sun, Final Fantasy Tactics, Advance Wars etc).
GBA would be awesome...
maybe one is the WiiWare games...
and since adding Neo Geo....maybe Jaguar...
other guess are: (Genesis) 32X, Sega Master System,
I'm sure one of them is indeed the Wii-ware, unless that's gonna be an outright channel (which I doubt).
I guess Virtual Boy.
Seriously though, the virtual console makes me soooooooo jealous.
why not...that is a Big N console.
The addition of the GB/GBC/GBA would be nice.
Though I don't have a Wii.
If its GBA, I hope for Godzilla Domination. Playing that on a TV screen would be awesome.
Phantasy Star 1 FTW
Big meh as far as GB and is concerned in my book. Gameplay was pretty lame on nearly all of the original titles. As far a GBA,... maybe but in the end why? I can buy and play them on my DS. Personally, I'd rather not see any handheld periphs get onto the Wii unless it's a direct connect for the DS.
The Jaguar only had two games on it that were worth a snot: Alien Vs. Predator. (And I already own the cart so meh....) and Syndicate which you can get for the PS one.
Master System: ......why? seriously....
3DO....again, why? The library of games for this was a joke.
As far as Dreamcast / Saturn / 32X / Sega CD....I could go for this but HD space is a big concern. My understanding is that the big N is currently working on an external HD add on which would kick so much ass. Not to mention that I think this is a necessary addition since they're adding Wii ware and it's been stated that many games will be on the large size.
