I finally got around to setting up my two new Detolfs (courtesy of the $20 Ikea sale from a few weeks back). I added weather stripping to them and now they are fully dust proof. Now to the pics:

Well, that's all folks. I'm eagerly awaiting the return of Classics/Henkei in the Fall.

That's awesome! Could you show a closer look at the weather stripping? What kind did you use? I've always dismissed those detolfs cause my cousin has one and her toys are completely covered in dust. Never thought about modding those suckers LOL

 

Oh, I must say I really like your setup. nicely done.

I use those same risers in my cabinets.

Does the weather stripping work for the dust? I'm totally gonna give that a shot.

I found this guide to dust proofing the Detolf:

DETOLF Dust Resistance Method

You might want to measure the space around your Detolf before purchasing though. I found that 5/16" was too big and ended up getting 3/16" stripping. You can get it from Lowes, Home Depot, etc. They run about $2 for 10 feet and you will never have to dust the interior of your Detolf again.

Very nice looking collection!! I also bought two of those Deltof cases when Ikea was practically giving them away, but what I don't have are those nice looking clear prop stands!! They would help out my collection greatly, as I can see they have for yours!!
