That makes sense. From what I learned over time, I figured that the twins start off as the ice cream truck and rescan seperately later. Plus we've seen the ice cream truck on set, and the thing looks obviously out of place anywhere except a suburb on a Summer afternoon, so yeah, your theory is probably correct.
It could be true about the call sheets being misinformation but not everything on those sheets is false as Arcee is indeed chasing the Audi.
Maybe the misinformation campaign was the misinformation. Bay could have been messing with us this whole time.
THIS we have reports of the Ice creme truck splitting apart I wish we were getting a toy of the ice creme truck though
I find it hard to believe that the Ice Cream Truck makes the twins. Because an Ice Cream Truck so small is physically impossible to equate to the same mass as a Chevy Trax and Sparks. That's mass shifting right there.
I would really like to know what the twins look like ******o-bot and drunken-bot. The bodies are cool as hell but man the guy must have droped acide before drawing the designs for there heads. Ill be doing a head swap on those toys thats for sure. If the comics explain why they look like that please please post it lol
Just because they rode the short bus... er short protoform to earth doesn't mean you should poke fun!
The callsheets were not misinformation at all. We've seen everything on them proven correct. The twins start as the Ice Cream truck, they crash while chasing the Audi with Arcee etc, and then fight each other out of frustration, probably later reformatting into the chevy vehicles after they realise the ice cream truck is slow and crap as an alt mode and that they would be better off separate. The ice cream truck is specifically called "Ice cream twins" on the callsheet. So unless you think theres ANOTHER set of twins, it's Skids and Mudflap.
This has nothing to do with beauty. Again, this is about stereotypes. For instance, when someone uses of the stereotype of a nerd - pants pulled up high, pocket protector, part in the hair, etc - we aren't talking about his beauty. We are talking about him as a stereotype. Your argument deserves some credit for effort at making that connection tho... In fact, even "beautiful" people have played the part of a nerd. Wow, honestly? So now we're debating what buck teeth and gold teeth mean? I guess if we had a guy with tape on his glasses and a pocket protector we would be debating that too? And the argument of last resort - you haven't seen the movie, so you can't talk! Well, then you can't talk either. None of us can. And I know you have made comments on this stuff too. You run the risk of being a hypocrite if you're saying I can't discuss my take on the movie without having seen it if you do exactly that...
ok first of all, i don't rationalize everything the producers do, so stop using that false argument. there are things i don't like either, like some design and story choices(megatron resurrection and the fallen being there for example are not the best choices one could have made) but i don't go on about them as if it's the end of the world, or the series is ruined forever(not saying you do, you make some damn good arguments sometimes). as a writer myself, i follow the idea of constructive criticism, and try to avoid ripping into other people's work because doing that can incite spiteful writing or alienate the producers from the fans, which would be bad because we need what little influence we have over this. i wasn't saying that's how they will be characterised, i was saying that's how i'd hope they would be. my doubts about them being characterised as jar-jar bots come from the fact that noone is willing to go down that path again because of the incredible backlash it created. the merry and pippin characterisation, however, has proven to go over really well with both critics and audiences. sure, it wouldn't make up for the twins looking like they fell out of the ugly tree, hitting every branch on the way down, but it would make them less cringeworthy if done right. maybe we'll see some new characterisation for the world to love/loathe. also, one can't really say that the characters were written around the designs, those are handled by two different sections of production with limited interaction at best. more likely is that the designs were made after the characters were concieved and written. in which case, teh characters may well be bumbling idiots, but as the old saying goes don't judge a book by it's cover* *unless it's by stephanie meyer, the covers are shit, the content is worse. /rant
