This guy looks great, and he'll be able to bully Newage Bumblebee.

I'm very impressed by the level of detail they're putting into the deco as I prefer a more realistic approach than the current trend for slavishly copying the cartoon that many companies are going with for their original G1 figures.

Both Wheeljack and Exhaust are likely to be my first Legends scale figures I buy extras of to keep in alt mode.

That price is about right in terms of the market. They may not be using the same level of complex engineering as Magic Square, but the painted details are going to add to the cost on this and the eventual Wheeljack. I expected these to be about $25-$30.

The deco really is gorgeous and I have a weakness for diaclone homages. Damn it, I may just cave and see if I can mod the arms to my liking,

Agreed, why show the more obscure character when the main one is your biggest seller. Anyway the hands look better now

Bit on the fence about this guy - the pin head and short forearms bug me a bit, and the hollow legs, but I like the articulation. I guess I’ll see the reviews and then make a call on wheeljack.

I think they are selling this one first because they know he'll be the slower seller.

The thing with this guy is if you were going to make a legends car bot 2 years ago this how he would look, simplified with compromises and hollowness, even in 2015 people were talking about hollowness. My thought has always been it's a legends figure cmon(every figure even MP has some aspect of hollow). I don't mind it so long as the representation is on point. Nower days with MST making legends carbots with panels up the wazoo i can understand expectations change. Still

I am liking this figure so far, don't mind the simplicity, bring on wj.

Edit: one thing id change apart from head size(which concerns me) is the tires. The patern on the tires lets the alt down - if they were plain theyd be realistic like the deco...

    Agreed.
Depending on how far out Magic Square and Iron Factory's versions are I might pick up this Wheeljack cause I love Wheeljack. Or just to keep him alt-mode.

This guy looks amazing. Can't wait to pick him up! I will say though that I know that the white bar on his chest is for a Decepticon symbol but damn does it manage to look barren without one

I sure would love to get a couple unpainted copies of this guy to repaint and re-head into Runabout/Runamuck...

Or they could make Runabout and Runamuck. With all the companies making legends they seem like easy choices like the Seekers or Datsuns.
