I did some digging and there has been a thread kind of like this, but since no one has posted in it for over ten months I decided to do make a new one. Zombie threads and all that. The media hype around Dallas coming back after 21 years got me thinking about this: Are there any TV shows that you wished would have lasted longer than they did, or one you wish would come back with new episodes? For example, a show you liked that only ran for one season, then it was cancelled and slipped into obscurity when you felt it could have went on for longer. Or just simply you want more new episodes. With me, there are two. The first is Urban Gothic, a British horror anthology series that ran for two seasons from 2000 to 2001. It had a variety of horror stories ranging from zombies to vampires to demons, and they were all set in London. While the majority of the stories were complete shit there were some good ones, and a third season has been rumoured since the end of the second season in 2001, and while it hasn't happened yet, I hope it does some day. The second is Prehistoric Park, a British mockumentary (done in the style of a documentary) that ran for six episodes in 2006. It was about naturalist Nigel Marven using a time machine to collect prehistoric animals like dinosaurs and mammoths, which are then put in a private menagerie to re-start their species. It was a bit of a dumb premise that kind of rips off Jurassic Park, it was done very well and I loved every minute of it. I've always found it a shame that there were only six episodes, as I thought it could have easily ran for at least one more season.
