Man, that storm is nasty. The main part of the storm completely missed Florida but the bands of wind and rain that are like 300 miles away from the center completely flooded my area. Can't get out of my house because the road and my yard are COMPLETELY flooded. It looks like a lake.

The bright side to this? No school today or tomorrow and I get to play some Fall of Cybertron :D

    You are very optimistic :)
Our city this year was strongly flooded powerful spring flood, but our house on the hill, so we are not afraid. But to see how the others can not even get the bread, it's a little scary...

What saddens me is that some folks near the coast will drive 50 miles inland in a couple of days to fill up their tank and then drive back to the coast.

Yeah, I remember meeting some refugees after Katrina and luckily this one doesn't look like its going to be near that bad, still going to suck for some areas, but nowhere near as bad. I wish the news would quit talking these storms up so bad, it's almost like the second coming of Christ their talking 'em so bad. I thought Irene was going to be another Isabel, so we wound up evacuating, and the house never lost power. I wish the Gulf the best, I know what it means to ride these storms out, my thoughts and prayers are certainly going to be with you guys. Stay safe.

Your lawn is now a lake and you have electricity? Isaac is a tropical storm. At its worst it will only be a cat 1 hurricane. Sorry, I will not add to the hysteria. There is already too much of that in BR.

Filled up late last night. Everyone was civil, but you could sense the impatience manifesting in everyone. I have been excused for work tomorrow but I will riding out the storm at the vet school. A/C, internet, and a large TV in my office isn't too bad.

Let's rock this shit. No school through Wednesday at least. Knock out some FOC, buy new Madden, knock it out, wait for power outage, hook up generator for portable air conditioner, TV, and PS3, then continue.

At first the storm was heading toward my town. I've had enough of hurricanes since Ivan.

We are suppose to get heavy rains and possibly tropical storm force winds. But right now we are having 10 mph winds with gust up to 21 mph.

We are still under a Tropical Storm Warning. I'm suprise Issac is still a tropical storm.
